Had a good day on the Rappahonock but we had to run 30+ miles to get right with the tide and keep catching all day.  Largemouth, smallmouth, snakehead, striper and a LOT of catfish.  Got to see a striper feeding frenzy which is a little rare for upriver.  They had pushed bait up on a river bend bank and were slamming them.  We had some poppers tied on and were able to get a few before they scattered. Normally I only put up pictures of myself because I’m not sure my buddy likes being plastered on the net. Caught a couple of largies on a clay bank and they were almost orange.  Lot more orange than the picture shows.  Lots of traffic on the river and the ramp escapades were in full display.

Toxic, 30 miles on the Rapp?!? Where did you put in?

Pics note lots of water behind you and your nonboater, so it looks like you headed downstream towards the mouth of the Rapp.

Glad you did well and had good weather.

And if you had some good ramp follies may I venture to say you used the Tappahannock ramp off 360?

@Sam you are partially right.  We put in at Hopyard and ran all the way down below the 301 bridge to start.  Fished multiple spots and then headed back up river to just below Little Falls.  We have spots scattered all through the river that turn on during different tide levels so we were on the move.  This day actually got me an award from Game and Fisheries.  Their contest was to catch all species of bass in one year.  Largemouth, smallmouth and striper or hybrid.  Well, I caught them all in 1 day and on the same body of water.  ? Fun contest for some bragging rights.
ps.  I am the back seater.

I know this is an old post but are you both wearing parachute pants?

If so, can you please tell me where you got them?

I have one old pair that is over 20 years old that is now ripping at the seams and could really use some replacements.

I have been looking for some baggy parachute pants for fishing for months here in mosquito country and all I can really find is amazon stuff which is mostly that skinny jean style crap.

Thanks for any advice.

@Seafury personally, I have fishing pants that I got at Cabela’s but they are Redhead brand so, they are also at Bass Pro.  Mine are unlined and have zip off legs but I have never taken the legs off.

This is awesome thank you so much!

Do you know if these are skinny, straight leg, relaxed fit, or baggy?

I don't see a designation but your photos yalls look baggy which is EXACTLY what I want/need but relaxed will work instead.

I cannot wear ANY skinny or straight leg pants of any kind.

Normal humans are not shaped that way lol.

Thanks again!

I’m no little guy and those pants are a loose fit right off the shelf.  They are not advertised as anything special but they are definitely not tight legged.  My buddy has both the summer style and flannel lined ones that he likes.  In the cold months, I just put some under armor long Johns under them and they are still not tight.
