I was supposed to go night fishing last night But I had to cancel at the last minute. But I have been looking into getting the Bluewater LED lights for my boat because night fishing does intrigue me. I have a bass pro tracker 175 Twx and I was just wondering should I get some LEDs for it. So I was just wondering if anybody has their Boats lighted up with led lights? And if it’s even worth it?Thanks for all the input have a blessed day.

I personally do not like any lights on other then the legally needed ones. I wear a head lamp and use that if I have to tie. I even cover lights on my TM with electrical tape.

I am in a kayak but I do a fair bit of night fishing and I only have on what is required and use a red lens headlamp.  You'd be surprised at how well your eyes adjust if you let them.

We went out to watch July 4 fireworks, beautifull night, until it was over and time to go back in.  Many of the pontoon boats had long bright strings of led lights running the length of there logs.  It was terrible for the rest of us boaters as it killed our night vision !!  Numerous CG, and local sherriff boats said nothing to them...watched a few very close calls of accidents due to loss of night vision from other boaters. Many boaters were yelling at them to kill the leds, as people could not see, but none were turned off !!  If you want a few leds inside your boat then fine, but lighting up your boat like a christmas tree is extremely hazardous to other boaters.

I would only put lights in storage boxes or livewell.. i wouldn’t do anything on the deck that would limit visibility for fishing or running..

i kayak.  i want lights.  i think i will get the Guardian Angels.  they are rechargable and apparently last a long time.  waterproof.  i have a friend that bought the green light and uses it for nightime crappie fishing..and white bass.  i think he floats it underwater!  i think.

they make them for all applications.  check them out.  no wiring.

I only use my LED's when dock fishing at night, since only 1 out of every 1,118.2 docks leave their lights on anymore. I have a rheostat on my LED'S so can dim them very low.

When I had the Lund, I installed orange LED's to light up the boat interior and cool blue to light up the lockers. Orange doesn't screw up your night vision. I will have interior lighting on my next boat. I also put Bluewater back up lights on the trailer which were a godsend when launching at night.

I was thinking of red deck lights and some lights for the storage. It’s something to think about that’s for sure.
