Hey guys looking for a casting reel with the following requirements

-7'2-7'8 length

-Medium Heavy or Heavy power

-moderate fast/fast/x-fast action

-1/4 - 2 oz lure weight rating

I been thinking about the st croix mojo bass 7'5/7'6 version which is on sale for around $120.

I've also considered some Dobyns, Phenix, tfo, g loomis, and Duckett rods.

Does anyone have any rod recommendations for around $100?

1/4-2 isn’t a medium heavy. That’s a true heavy for most all manufacturers. And, that’s a really wide range.  Normally 1/4-3/4 is a medium heavy (maybe up to 1 oz), 3/8-1(or 1.25) gets you a lighter heavy. Then 1/2-2 is a true heavy.

What are you planning to throw on it (bait weight range)?

I use a falcon expert amistad which is 3/8-2 rated and a true heavy. 7’3”, fast action. Definitely fits your description except it’s $200. The low rider version though is $120 and 1/2-1.5.  Possibly a good choice for you. They also have the heavy cover jig which is 3/8-1 in the low rider (right in the middle of your range) so depending your plans might also be a good choice.

Daiwa, Shimano or Lew’s..7:1 w/110+ yds of line spool ....take your pick. Frig rod Irod IRG754F is a good all around choice.

Caught many many very large bass on my MHMF (Frog) 7'6 Veritas PLX.  It seems unbreakable and it fishes more like most brands MHF.

$$ 89.99 $$ The 7’3 heavy bass pro crankin stick. 3/8-2 oz. I have two in this model. Great rod for the money in my opinion. I don’t have to buy cheaper rods but these are good.

My deductive reasoning says I don’t think so. Especially since he said he’s thinking about a MH to H in a st Croix mojo. Or Dobyns, phenix, etc.

And the title says Rod.

Ok so he accidentally put reel. But he wrote casting rod in two other places and it’s obvious he’s asking about rods. Geez
