This is the time of year where I wear swimming trunks while fishing.

Get on the water before daylight and by 10am I'm diving in. Lol

Mind you our Waters here are very clean and clear and taking the occasional dive allows me on the water much longer when temps are in the 90's.

Anyone else take the Nestle plunge ?

Not in the ponds I fish. Three words:

Brain. Eating. Amoeba

Too many snakes. Do use a snap towel. Just dip in the water, wring out, snap and place on neck or face. Really cools you down.

Thats what pools are for! Not a chance I’m getting in a lake or river.

Warm water kinda grosses me out. We have swimmers itch and elevated levels of e-coil in some lakes right now.

I will occasionally.   Lakes may be dirty but I suspect they're cleaner than most public pools.

Yep.  Temps in the 100's here in Texas.  Sometimes I'll jump in more than once.

I have no problem doing it in the lakes that are being monitored for E Coli.

My homelake just had samples taken and everything was fine, and then the State recently conducted it's yearly sample across all the major lakes, only one hotspot.

The reality is though I fish covered up, if I fished in swimtrunks and a tshirt....yeah I'd be jumping in half dozen times I'm sure.

Rather than step onto the shore this morning when I'd finished fishing, I stepped into the water on purpose. It felt great.

I've got a pool and a pond. The pond would be good for you. ?

I am also thankful that as rare as it is my dog that is a golden/lab mix won’t go in the water either.

When I was younger I’d do all that crazy stuff. I’ll towel down these days to keep cool. It seem like in more recent years I get that duck itch. Not sure what it is called but drives me crazy.

@T-Billy I’ve seen the monsters you pull out of the waters you fish. Id like to keep all my toes.

Depends on where I’m at, here on St Johns. Certain areas I won’t jump in. I’ve seen some huge gators, over 15ft.

I stay in the boat in theses areas, other areas I cool off.
I’ve even made a quick run to the springs, water is in the 70’s all year round. They even have a camp store that sells ice cream.
