Looks like SC is trying to do it right.  They've offered reels before, but they were just so-so.  That one year unlimited replacement warranty looks to be a deal changer.  I don't recall anyone doing that for a reel.

I find it interesting that they are releasing them under a new brand rather than using the name

recognition that St Croix already has.

The proof will come in the using.  That's a good ways up in the price brackets for reels and there are a ton of fantastic reels at that price.  It will need to be just as fantastic to compete.  That's about the range of a Stradic and more than an Ultegra.  It similar to a Tatula or Procyon.  That's pretty good company to keep if the performance is there or better.

This reel has near identical looks and specs as the piscifun carbon X...just a diffetent color.

It may look similar, however a LOT of R&D went into Seviin Reels.  They're not "rebranded" reels.
