I'll be there and it would be great to meet you!  What booth will you be at?

The plan is Wednesday and maybe Thursday at Sunline’s and TH Marine.

Won’t know for sure until Monday.

If you can bring a plus 1 Glenn, let me know. Always wanted to check out that show. But as just a bass angler, I cannot get in. It occurs every year very close to where I live and work. I drive by the ICAST venue every day. Have fun and share with us.

I'll be there on Thursday just walking & looking. Not in a display booth. I'll look for you.

I will be there the whole show.  No booth...just walking.  Where will you be Glen?

I'll be walking the floor, going to meetings and such.  I don't wear my jersey and hat to this event, so I'm not so easy to spot.  I can't hide the mustache though. LOL

I'll be wearing a shirt that's close to the background color of this page, and holding a black binder....and probably looking like I'm lost. LOL

I wont be there, but my good friend the Bait Monkey will.  I would appreciate it if you could show him around, introduce him to some new friends.  He isn't allowed in my house any more, and I worry he might get lonely.

It's okay he stays with me sometimes. I let him stay in the tackle room. Strangely new stuff keeps coming into the room all the time. I don't remember buying anything..... I wouldn't do that.... so he must keep bringing stuff....

@king fisher keep the Baitmonkey out of the margaritas. You’ve been warned. ?

Thanks for the warning, but I gave up drinking with the Bait Monkey back in the days when I had to send a check to get something from Bass Pro Shops.  I can't imagine the damage a drunk Bait Monkey can do with a smart phone.

Anyone else going?

Guess I am one of eight bass fishermen not going? Glenn what are the requirements to go? I thought you had to be a significant presence in the bass fishing community or a major manufacturer? Some of the people I see attending it's strange to me how they are let in.

ICAST ended last Friday.  It is an industry-only event, meaning in order to attend, you must be one of the following:

  • Credentialed media (sports writers, BassResource, In-Fisherman, TV & radio, etc).  Somebody with a social media account does NOT qualify.
  • Manufacturer employees and contractors (tackle, rods, lines, boats, lures, etc).  This is where the pro's fit in.
  • Buyers (think Walmart, Dicks, Academy, and Bass Pro Shops)

ICAST does a good job of vetting everyone. However, sometimes, a few non-industry people slip in.  They usually get escorted to the door if they violate the many written and unwritten codes of conduct (like asking to buy something on the floor, or interfering with media interviews).
