Hi, I recently acquired a fishing reel - Symetre 2000FH - on the eBay. It is new in the plastic clamshell, BUT, I am trying to figure out (without opening it), if the handle and instructions are in here. The bottom part of the package has clearly been tampered with, but would the instructions and handle have been in there or are they in there under the reel? The top portion has not been opened. I will try to get a photo uploaded. I cannot find another in the original clamshell at this time, so don't want to open and deplete the value.

My guess is yes but not 100% sure. Looks like a spare spool is under there so should be more. If the reel came with missing parts I am sure eBay would cover you. Its insured through their buyer protection. I'd open it and find out.

Use the darn thing.  Most of the parts are the same as the Stradic.  I have 2 that I use the heck out of.

Agreed that using it is likely the best use, I don't have an immediate need so no need to open today, but these are awesome reels, like you said, many of the same parts as a Stradic, and it's exciting to come across a new one from a model that's probably 20 years old. Just thought I'd feel it out and see if anyone had seen one in this packaging and shape. Can't quite tell if the bottom of the packaging would have contained any parts. Definitely a spare spool in there. When I got one back when they were on shelves it came in the paper box. Appreciate the responses!
