Super User Darth-Baiter Posted July 4, 2023 Super User Posted July 4, 2023 i figured, unless i was super good looking i would have to follow a few rules. no stupid looking clothing and goofy hair styles. i cant support any of those looks with "my looks". it all became a moot point when all my hair decided to abandon my head. my barber pulled me aside one day and said, "you owe me $125". WHAT?!! he bought me a brand new Oster Classic hair buzzer. same one he uses. a pro model. he gave it to me, put on the "000" blade and watched me buzz my own head right there sitting in his chair. i went to the ATM, pulled out his cash and shook his hand. hahhaha.. i had the best barber. told me the truth. i figured that buzzer has saved me d**n near bassb boat money. 2 1 Quote
detroit1 Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 My buddy still uses his flobee. Me In the 70's - long hair (collar) 80's - not punk, but alternative, and relatively short since. It's coming out pretty good on top now.... 2 1 Quote

They closed the barber shops here for months and the shelves were wiped out of trimmers. I over paid for mine on eBay but I’ve more than paid for it now with its use since. I still go to the barber a couple times in the winter, but the rest of the year my wife uses the trimmer to cut my hair on the deck. 2 Quote
Super User Darth-Baiter Posted July 4, 2023 Super User Posted July 4, 2023 mine is a Oster Classic 75 or something. it is bombproof. built to do day in day out haircuts at the busiest barber shops. in my hands, with my head...it will last forever. i am on the same blade. it wont dull with such light use. top five purchases of my life. easily top-five 2 Quote
PourMyOwn Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 I go to a barber every 6 weeks or so-I keep my hair really short, exactly how my grandfather had his in the 1930s! My barber does special 6 AM appointments for me which I greatly appreciate! 3 Quote
Woody B Posted July 4, 2023 Author Posted July 4, 2023 Mrs B trimmed mine last night. She's a retired school administrator, not a hair dresser but she does a good enough job for me. She started cutting my hair, as well as my Dads during Covid. There's something wrong with my camera though. I'm sure I don't have any gray hair. It must be something on the lens. 2 2 Quote
