LSU Fan Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 In these warmer days on the water, I've always had a problem with the Bass Feast Smelly Jelly fish attractant becoming way too runny from the consistency of thick jell. My inquiry here is does anyone have a idea what I can add to this smelly Jelly Bass Feast to combat the warmer temps and its effect on the attractant? Thanks Quote

Thanks I use Magastrike on just about everything I throw. It is also a jelly like deal and comes in a tube (like toothpaste). Storing it in a 'cooler' with my food & drinks keeps it from getting too runny in the summer heat. A-Jay 6 Quote

Super User J._Bricker Posted July 1, 2023 Super User Posted July 1, 2023 Like @A-Jay recommends, chuck that jar of Smelly Jelly in the ice chest when it becomes that soupy mess in the summers heat. I’ve gotten away from SJ and went with Pro-Cure or Megastrike, both of which might be on ice in the heat if need be. Quote
TLHSS Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 I’ve been a fan of Liquid Mayhem, which also comes in a tube like toothpaste. It does not change in consistency in warmer weather (at least for me). Quote

Super User LrgmouthShad Posted July 1, 2023 Super User Posted July 1, 2023 What smelly jelly are you using? They make several different products. I recently started using smelly jelly products. What I've found is that I like their liquid formula for masking scent on my hands like suncreen, and then I use their pro guide formula for putting scent onto my baits. I have not had issues with the pro guide formula getting too runny. I use the bass feast scent too, and since I have started using it, bass inhale my baits. I think it is a great product Quote

That stuff is nauseating. Mega strike, no problem. I use smelly jelly with smallmouth and it works, but not going anywhere I can smell it, especially by food. ? Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted July 2, 2023 Super User Posted July 2, 2023 Been using Megastrike for a long time, no complaints about it. I have used JJ's in the past, but the smell caused me to discontinue using it. Quote
KP Duty Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 Add a little fromunda cheese along with some belly button lint. 2 Quote
