How’s the hookup ratio with one o ring and hook facing the head or tail of the senko versus having the hook come out the front of the bait criss crossing o rings? I’m horrible at criss crossing the rings and can’t seem to get em to cross. Please don’t reocommend other rings. On a fixed income and my tackle purchasing is tapped out for the year

I don't seem to observe a difference in hookup ratio whether I'm using 1 or 2 o-rings.  The reason I sometimes use two and cross them with the hook underneath is to prevent panfish from grabbing the tail and pulling it out.

I found my hookup ratio was worse with two rings because I was constantly losing my worm.  One ring and a bait button at the end of a 1/0 wacky hook pins every fish that bites and retains the worm very well.

A friend uses pieces of plastic straws. He grabs a couple each time he gets fast food. Each place has a different diameter straw. He slides it on and puts the hook through the straw.

Interest do you put the bait button on the hook to prevent the worm from sliding?

Look no further than VMC crossover rings, outstanding product and very durable.

I use #6 for Senkos and #3 for finesse worms.

Couple of weeks ago I actually caught 8 bass on a single Jackall 4.8.

You'll need the pliers as well.

Even with the tool?

I’ve never considered more than 1 o-ring. If I want the hook perpendicular, I hook just into the senko and under the oring. It’s angled slightly but close to perpendicular. In fact this is really the only way I do It. Hook up ratio is fine.

I use these o-rings most of the time, which keeps the hook facing upwards.

No, I put one on to keep the worm from flying off during a cast.  I mostly skip wacky senkos and without the buttons I was losing a lot of worms.

Prefer to not use any ring. I use Yum dingers, and they are cheap. Just prefer the hook thru the bait.

Buy the tubing and make your own.  Hook goes thru collar and worm perpendicular to bait.  I can catch multiple fish on this rig before replacing.
