I don’t throw top under 12” viz

I didn't either, but the last federation state tourney I fished was in chocolate milk water and I only had one fish.  The winner had a limit he caught on a pop-r.

All the lakes I fish are stained and green pumpkin works best for me

I like June Bug worms, chartreuse and black crankbaits, Chart. and black spinnerbaits, black and blue jigs.  I have no idea what the bass like, but if they are going to bite my hook they better like my colors.

Let’s put a fork in this topic because no one knows what a bass can see underwater. We know what works for each individual angler and bass color choices based on success.

I was fishing a night tournament several years ago with my son who tied on a custom white ghost DD22  because he knew the lure worked good during day time outings. I had my Black Red crawdad DD22 because I knew dark colors works good at night. Tommy put 3 bass in the 7 class class in the boat and I caught zero. Guess made the change!

I personally use brighter colors in stained water and more natural colors in clear water.  But that's just me.

I do as well but sometimes it doesn't matter.  Fished our first Thursday evening tournament this week. It had recently rained but the water was gin clear.  I was throwing GP and watermelon colors.  Partner was using a junebug tube which could be seen 3 miles away.  He was catching fish while I was just practicing casting.

Black, white, merthiolate, and bubble gum has worked for me in the mud. I don't have a repeatable pattern for it.My dad only fished with black and white trick worms when I was younger.

If all you ever carried were all black Trick worms, you would have all the bass bait you ever need. ?

Bass that live in off colored water rely more their lateral line than their eye sight when feeding.

I'm more concerned with vibration than color.

When in doubt, throw dark. That's been my general rule of thumb. Regardless of water colour, dark and natural colored baits always seem to work better for me than lighter, flashy colors.
