We have yet to hit 90 in upper-central SC, which is pretty unusual. I went on vacation in Florida last week. It was 90 with a feels like of 100+ all week. Came home Monday and it's been at least drizzling rain since. I dare say our bass are not in their summer pattern(s) yet.

We'll send it to you - previous three days here we were at 90+...and currently at 87 and still climbing today.

There's relief on the horizon.  A massive low pressure front is expected to arrive Fri/Sat/Sun and drop significant rain, followed by a welcome cool down with much lower dewpoints next week.  We need a big dose of rain badly.  This looks promising.

Meanwhile, down south, they are still roasting.  The heat dome over Texas is expected to expand north and east next week.  I read that a postal employee died of heat stroke in Dallas yesterday.

I watched the morning sunrise illuminate the furthest SW corner of my apartment in order to ensure that the Chicago grid is indeed laid out in the cardinal directions.  Later around sunset, I caught no fish on the shore of lake michigan.  Everything in between and after were varying degrees of fine.
