Give the latest Luke Dunkin's Low Budget Live podcast a listen for full details and to hear the letter read that Cathy Fennel sent to everyone that received a check. Four of the top 10 are under investigation for cheating. I made a longer post on the Cayuga thread under tournament talk.

Anyone know the results of MLF's 'investigation' ?

Have they finished it and or did they made the final word, if there is one, public ?

@A-Jay According to this past Mondays Low Budget Live (Luke Dunkin), they're still reviewing footage. Luke's guest was James "Worldwide" Watson. James said that they (mlf) stated in the pre-tournament meeting that anyone cheating would be penalized. One angler apparently attempted to apologize for his actions and was made to sit down and be quiet (my word's, not James or Luke). You should look up the podcast and give a listen. Sounds like things got a little heated.

Seems a little out of touch.

Sheffield was DQ’d as a result of weighing a bass hooked outside the mouth.

I won't name names with the rumors. flying but I've heard 2 guys failed the polygraph.

Guys catching the same fish multiple times during the same day is an issue as well

Polygraphs are a joke. There's a reason they're not admissible in court.

That MLF event at Cayuga made me lose all respect for the organization.

Way more than one dude was cheating, so much sketchy stuff was occurring on live TV for everyone to see.

MLF seemingly was only concerned with having monster bags given the timing, their rules, and seemingly lack of oversite of those rules.

BASS isn't perfect, but I trust the derby results and competitors significantly more in that format.

He also failed three questions on his poly IIrc.

That is correct.  And the competitors are HOT about it because MLF did nothing.  I also heard it wasn't the first time, and that the first polygraph technician quit because of incidents like this.

Seems MLF did their due diligence.

Determined which path would effect their bottom line the least.

And then march right down the middle of it.  Optics be dammed.

I get that it's all for entertainment purposes only.  But so are The Kardashians and I don't watch that either.

This isn't going away.

Nailed it A-Jay.  They let guys skate because they passed a polygraph, even though they watched them cheat on video. MLF's response was 100% about not P'ing off sponsors and risking losing their dollars. I'm sure there's a bunch of guys who want out but can't afford to jump ship. It's a shame. MLF management has totally screwed up a really good format/tour.

Thanks for the heads up on that podcast. I've been enjoying it. Especially the episodes with JMFW. LOL. That guy's a character.

Would be interested know the 2nd poly failure who skated. Becker won AOY today and I know he was mentioned in the Cayuga scandals.

You're very welcome, I listen to Low Budget Live every Monday.

I'll never say that B.A.S.S. is perfect, but they beat the pants off of mlf. I used to occasionally watch the mlf tournament coverage, won't watch it again. Not going to do anything to support them.

I checked the results, but watched very little MLF this year. I was a big fan of the every fish counts format. Those anglers have to be very frustrated with Boyd and Co. They're constantly moving the goal post, and now this fiasco... What a mess they've made of something that was once very good.
