This is turning into a circle argument - some people have had issues with FC and have sworn off it completely. Others have had good experiences with FC and use it for multiple applications.

WE GET IT!

If you don't like FC - then don't use it...but don't try to convince those of us who don't have issues with it that it's bad line...we think it's good line.

I have my live scope set out to 65 ft

That’s a good distance

I don’t have live scope but try to place myself about that far away from something that I have marked

I too have the bulk spools of Tatsu - although I do have 10 lb Invizx that I use exclusively for my jerkbait rod... and as the occasional leader materials for wacky worms.

Why is It that some people act like their knots break every cast on fc or that fc has so much memory that it’s unmanageable, and others have none of those issues after using It for 10+ years?

Eh, who cares. I've heard the J Braid I've been buying and using for 6 years sucks, yet it keeps on working great for me. I've heard my quiver of 13 Omen Blacks are subpar junk, but I could give two chits. Utterly reliable, ZERO issues, quite sensitive for how I fish, and I really like their feel. Anytime I mention my Quantum Tour S3 or Smoke S3, which are actually fantastic reels, a guy shows up to post a video of his making an unfortunate noise on the cast just to show that they're junk no matter what anyone else says or thinks. I could go on. Big Game anyone?

I've literally tried stuff with a bad rap just because I needed to see for myself, and nearly every single time I'm left wondering what the flying puck are these people thinking. For the most part, fishing things are very rarely as great as they're touted to be, or rarely as bad as they're claimed to be. Some people just like to be dramatic. Newbies might mindlessly repeat that drama, but nobody who's been happy with whatever's getting crapped on will have their minds changed by that noise. Nobody.

I'm an InvizX guy and I really havent had any issues. I did start using FC Sniper for lines above 15lbs because I think their bigger line is better.

Invisx, Tatsu and Diawa Samuri for Fluorocarbon, Sunline Defier Armillo for mono. Feel free to use Big game just know that your 10# is 12#, your 12# is 15# and your 15# is 17#. I am erring on the light side. It's all in the line diameters.  Not much of an opinion on braid. 832, power pro and PP V2. Been experimenting with the Varivas and Shimano PitBull 8.

Diawa Samuri fluorocarbon is seriously good stuff, IMHO as good as Tatsu.

I used invisx quite a bit a couple years ago, I liked it and didn’t have any problems with it. I used 10-17lb and I still have a abu garcia max pro spooled with 17lb. I have been using sniper lately in 14lb and it does fine for me, I still have a bottle of kvd line stuff but I don’t really even use it anymore. I have learned how to deal with fluorocarbon and understand that it is all about your casting stroke. I run my reels really loose and as long as I am not being a buffoon and trying to cast further than I need to I am good. I like comparing casting strokes and checking distance. I always like when just the slightest flick of your wrist sends the lure just as far as heaving it without the backlashes. Use what you like and be happy with your choice, let others make their own decisions and go from there.
