I’ve only ever used digitaka and don’t really know any of the other ones. But digitaka is low in stock at the moment. Does anyone of a jdm site that has a 7.1 bantam in stock? Thanks!

I think they have a higher threshold, like $200, for free shipping, but its been awhile since I ordered from there.

The prices are all over the place. Some tatula reels are less at asian portal. Also they had a recent pricing adjustment. The tatulas went up 10. I try to stick with digitaka but sometimes the lower prices at asian portal tempt me. But I end up going with digitaka because the shipping is so fast

Yeah It says free shipping but I might wait on digitaka if those are my options. Or just get the 6.2 in stock at digitaka.

It’s going on a 72 MH Expride that I’ll use for swim jigs and light Texas rigs. It’s a 3/8-1oz rod.

That's what I did during the winter. They only had 6.2s at the time I was ready to pull the trigger but I wanted faster. So I went with a Metanium. Then a week later I realized I still wanted a Bantam so I ordered the 6.2 to use for heavier reaction baits. Spinner baits and chatterbaits with swimbait trailers

What about the aldebaran? Anyone have any experience with It?

Not yet, I was preparing to order the Aldebaran BFS model because I heard so much but my Metanium Shallow spool surprised me so much with it's BFS abilities so I waited for the Aldebaran and ordered the SS air instead

Yeah I love my mets and bantams. Just need a 7.1 and I’m impatient. And I can’t physically make myself put a daiwa reel on a shimano rod!

I've got a couple of Metaniums but have been thinking about checking out a Bantam. Other than price, what does the Bantam do for you that the Met doesn't?

I have two. I would not pair it with the 7'2" MH/F Expride (which I also have), and it wouldn't be my choice for swim jigs. A Metanium is perfect on that rod, imho. I do absolutely adore an Aldebaran on my 843 MBR. That's probably about my ceiling in terms of how heavy of a rod I'll put the Aldebaran on.

Most of it was nostalgia,  I had a Bantam bass one mag when I was little. So I wanted to get one after I heard they brought the name back. All of the reviews said it was heavy. Tackle advisors said it was a great reaction baits reel, built like a tank and buttery smooth. So it's been great for spinnerbaits and retrieving horny toads.

I got a good deal on a Chronarch mgl 7.1 instead. First Chronarch!
I put 14lb sniper on It.
