I will eat every pizza I am granted access to. I did get food poisoning from a pizza with spinach once so I’m not thrilled to see that on one but I still eat those anyway because my wife refuses to get any pizza without spinach haha

Pizza is one food I can keep on eating and not get full. I love pizza. To me dominos used to suck (90s) and Pizza Hut was the choice of chain stores. Dominoes to me is now on par with Pizza Hut for chain stores.

I miss godfathers pizza. I thought they were long gone in my area, but upon reading this thread I just learned there’s one not too far away and the next nearest is on the other side of my state.

Local mom and pop places are good but so pricey compared to the chains and because I can eat pizza forever and non-stop, won’t stop playing that game, and I know that I can do it if I show no shame (reference grand master flash rap, lol). It is therefore not cost effective.

I ordered 4 med pizzas from dominos a few weeks ago for my family of 4. Practically one per person. I figured my son would down 1 1/2 pizzas by himself and my wife and daughter maybe 3 pieces each and planned for easy leftovers for a day or two for everyone. Well, my wife  and daughter only ate about  two slices each and my son barely ate half a pizza. After the first day, I noticed nobody ate any pizza.  I was shocked and very upset with myself for over ordering. I was forced into eating the leftovers for the next two days. Poor me, lol  ?

I had pizza last night because of this thread.

I was also inspired by the thread last night.  I called Dominos and told them I wanted to order a chain pizza.   They said they didn’t know what I was talking about.  ?

As long as it’s not Pizza Hut, I’ve rarely met a pizza I didn’t like. The local Mom & Pops charge $25+ for a large pie. I mostly eat the self-rising frozen nowadays. My brain automatically rejects today’s restaurant prices.

@NavyToad: as in Digiornos? For a commercial frozen pizza from the grocery store, it does in a pinch for me.

Another one around when I was a kid, the commissaries had Celeste pizza.  I haven’t see them in a very long time.

Cheap, fast and the number of people that can't cook make it even good to them.  The cheap can win me over if I am apathetic which happens every now and then but it always reminds me to not succumb again for a long time.

Much like another thing that I'll probably get in trouble for mentioning, the worst pizza I've ever had was still pretty good.

My favorite pizza is from a small midwest chain called Cassanos. People either love it or hate it.

I kind of feel the same way with burgers.  There are pizza places that are worse than others for sure but it is still edible 99% of the time.

Yessir. Unless you serve me a piece of charcoal with mayo poured all over it, I'll probably still give your burger two thumbs up.

But I'm not a mayo fan.

People eat chain pizza for a number of reasons. Some people actually like the way it is made. Some people do it for the same reason they eat at MacDonalds....it may not be much, but it is usually consistent. And some people just don't care....they just want a pizza and don't want to make it themselves.

We had Little Caesars for supper and it reminded me of this thread.

We were driving home after running some errands and my fiance asked me what we should have for supper. We didn't have any meat thawed, but we also didn't want to spend money. We decided quick and easy. Little Caesars. 60 seconds in the store and less than $10 later we were soon eating pizza and watching TV. That's why.

Gotcha.  It's a favorite quote of mine...   "Pizza is like __x.  It's all good; some is better than others."

The "chainiest" pizza restaurant we eat at is Ledo in Rock Hill, SC. It's thin rectangular pizza. It's a chain that originated in MD and my wife is from there. But this one is so far from any other Ledo that it's like a mom/pop operation. There is never a big crowd and they have the usual local drinkers. It feels like home. Alas, we're dieting and there's no way to go there and not gorge on the pizza. I would prefer one serving size slice.

I like those cheap frozen Totino's pizza in classic pepperoni. They get so crispy. And one is a good serving without really going overboard.

I know exactly what you're talking about. My little brother and I were latchkey kids growing up, so we were basically feral animals that lived on those little pizzas. I still love them.
