SproDD79 Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Great story. Kudos to this angler for releasing the fish. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/outdoors/2023/06/upstate-angler-smashes-his-own-ny-state-record-lands-monster-9-pound-smallmouth-bass.html 10 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted June 17, 2023 Super User Posted June 17, 2023 Wow! And the same fish he caught last year too. Cayuga and the finger lakes are absolutely on fire right now. They also had a 6 and 7 in their bag and couldn’t even cull with a 5. I gotta make my way west of the capital region and fish these insane lakes I share a state with. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted June 17, 2023 Super User Posted June 17, 2023 Crazy Big Bag and What a GIANT Brown Bass ! Seems the world record could be up for grabs in the next few years. All Hail to the Goby. A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted June 17, 2023 Super User Posted June 17, 2023 Amazing & kudos to Thomas Russell for releasing her twice. Quote
Susky River Rat Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 I am drooling. He knows how to get those big bass in the bag. He caught the fish of a lifetime twice. Looks like he’s been researching her. I love the from the conservation side of things he said screw that record and put her back. Let that gene pool spread. Quote
