Hi all,

My Lund is in it's six season and we've taken good care of it. It's under cover when not in use, and if it's wet we make sure to let it dry before covering it. So far the vinyl seats still look like new and I'd like to make sure they stay that way, so my question is, what , if anything, do you do or use on your vinyl seats? I've looked online and there is a wide variety of products to choose from. Anything you can recommend?

                                        Thanks

                                                   Jim

Best stuff I've found is Aerospace 303 UV protectant.

I buy it by the gallon and works on any vinyl, plastic and fiberglass.

I use D&L hand cleaner with lanoline, best thing ever to clean dirt, grease and stains...the lanoline keeps the vinyl soft and supple so it doesn't crack.  Lots of newer products out there that are supposed to be good, but the D&L has worked for me for 40 years.  Lots of old car guys use this stuff, especially on old vinyl roofs on old cars.

I used Boat Bling's Vinyl Sauce.  Its very easy to use and has kept my seats in good shape since I bought the boat in 2015.

You spray it on, and wipe it off.  Removes water spots, stains, and adds a layer of protection from the sun.

I also use Hot Sauce, Toon Sauce, and Conditions Sauce to clean my boat.

If you want your boat seats to last, covering them when not in use is essential.  I always cringe when I drive by a house with an uncovered bass boat sitting in the yard.

Good advice.  The sun's UV rays are very damaging.  Let a cover take the abuse.  Or better yet, store the boat in the garage.

You don't need an expensive cover to protect your boat seats unless you tow your boat with the cover on. My boat sits in a covered storage lot when I'm not using it.  Even though it's covered, I use a light weight cover I bought from Amazon for $50 to keep dust and sun from messing up the interior of my boat.  It's easy to put on and take off and it does a great job.

Wife paid $60 for the cover she got me for my birthday last fall. Elastic edge and 1" Nylon straps with buckles keep it secure enough that the critters can't get in, and covered vent holes so it doesn't get too hot under it. Sizes to fit 14'-23' boats, 150-600 denier weights in several colors.

I thought mine were clean until I used Starbrite Ultimate Vinyl clean and scrubbed them up.  Now they look new.   After I did that I use a vinyl protestant called boat juice.  It seems to work good.
