Highly overlooked category of soft plastics!

I would start with Zoom's Ultravibe Speed Craw.

Yep...rigged a speed craw on a chompers jighead for a dad and 5yr old son at a local pond last year.  The dad caught his pb 2 casts later (looked to be 4.5ish lbs).  He felt like 'the man', and so did I ?

Baby brush hogs

Speed craws

Trick worms.

I’ll go against my own opinion and repeat what I hear so often…..There is no plastic that cannot be thrown on a baitcaster….I don’t believe that but it’s obvious many do and they refer to the new ultralight finesse baitcasters now on the market.

koz,

which falcon do you have?  I’m thinking about a new spinning rod and love my falcons. I am looking for something 1/8-3/8 with a fast or extra fast action.

For spinning gear I have a Falcon Lowrider 6' 9" ML. The model is the LFS-69ML and they list it as a drop shot rod.

My casting rod is sitting with half a dozen rods in my office. I'll find out what it is tomorrow and provide you with the answer.

Most of my rods are MH Shimano Exprides and I bought a heavy Shimano Intenza that is a decent rod. But I do really like my Falcon rods as well. I wasn't sure at first, but the more I use them the more I like them.

thanks. I’m meant the spinning rod. I have a bunch of other falcons and am considering a spinning rod. I’m looking for a fast or extra fast and I don’t think the drop shot is the one.

There's a reason nobody has mentioned the Berkley Pit Boss yet. Because they wanna keep all the fish for themselves!!

Thanks for all the replies.
So I left the hard baits at home and only brought some swimbaits and creature baits (along with my tubes and worms). The girls were holding on deep structure, so i rigged a creature on a 1/2oz. football jig, added a rattle and surprised myself by boating four LM over 18in.
Normally I would have chosen a C-rig with a tube or worm. The Rage Swimmer produced three dinks holding tight to shallow cover.
I’m going to try some Flukes on a lake with a lot of weeds this weekend. That and a punch rig/beaver.

A fun way to power fish plastic is to throw a knock a swing head through a rocky bank.  Its like a combination of a squarebill and football jig.  You can use just about anything on them, but I really like the OG biffle bug and adrenaline craw.

Z man pametto bugs and their 7" finesse worms work great on mojo and free rigs.  They float up off the bottom and seem to get bit when not much else works, especially in the case of the finesse worm on a free rig.
