Would love to - but the Medicare Assistance Program through the State that I'm on restricts me on what I can get for glasses.

My optometrist has three trays of the frames I'm allowed to choose from...I don't get to 'browse' the whole store. I even had to 'fight' to get my poly-carbonate safety lenses.

My dad's glasses after insurance cost him about 300 bucks, going to zenni with no insurance cost under $80... I think after the extra fees of polarized and all that a regular pair of glasses total like $30 or something. You can pick more expensive frames if you want, you might have crazy prescription that causes the lens price to go up, like my dad, but still bonkers cheaper than a typical glasses store or optometrist office.

Just poke around the site and and build a pair to meet your needs and see what the total is.

I honestly couldn’t really tell much of a difference between the costas and the $5 Walmart glasses

I used to buy a cheapie pair every season too.  Then one December, Santa dropped off a pair of Costas.  I'm never going back to the cheapies again.  The quality frame and superior lenses are extremely noticeable.  Plus there is a lifetime warranty (which I have not had to utilize, yet).

See what's out there.  - Costa

i asked my eye doctor this.  her response was that we didnt need the Costas.  but she admonished me against wearing the lowest of the low end sunglasses.  she said since they dim our view, our pupils will dialate to the lesser light which ironically opens them up to allow more UV rays to get thru.    i'm no eye doctor, not even close...so i bought the Costas!  :D

i've come to grips that my hearing will be suspect when i am older.  i am not good with my eyes being all cateracty.  nope.

After 55 years of wearing glasses I finally have a frame that fits me . They dont cut into my ears or slide down my nose.  I'm afraid if I order glasses online they wont fit. I know several people who have and they say they are happy with them .

Oh , amber is my personal choice to . They seem to separate objects better.

I may try Shady Ray's next.  If anyone has experience with them, let me know.

I had a pair of the Shady Ray's. The protective coating on the lenses did not last long at all.

Thank you.  That's the issue I have with Onos.  I know know others have better outcomes.  But I mistreat my glasses and want a pair that will withstand a pretty good beating.  I fondly recall a pair of Oakleys I had maybe16 years ago that would tolerate tons of abuse and always looked and performed like new.  I still remember the golf course and hole where I think I lost them.  No plastic lens sunglasses I have had since measured up....Still searching

I have worn Maui Jim's, Costas and others but I only ever buy $10 dollar cheapies.  I had a pair of Waterland that my wife got me but I lost those.

I don't get it - I have never noticed a difference. The only thing I notice is that I can't see as well as I can without sunglasses on. Blue mirror, green, amber, black, grey...all the same with a different tint. I will add that I have always had better than perfect vision and rarely opt to wear sunglasses because they make my head hurt.

I have two sets of the Shady Rays but I do not use them for fishing.  They stay in the vehicles for driving use only.  No issues in 4 years now.

Costas in green mirror.  They are about as good as it gets for site fishing, and eye comfort.  Been using them for over 20 years.

I use green mirror.  Primarily because it works well in both sunshine and cloudy conditions.

Green lenses make the black lateral line and tail fin tip on LM stick out like a sore thumb, and as you stated, good for bright or cloudy conditions.

green mirror. great in very bright light, pretty good in low light/cloudy
I bought their low light/amber, for dusk/dawn, but I never wear them

I did get some blue mirrors for being on the ocean and they are a better fit in that kind of light.

Before I needed prescription polarized sunglasses, always went with amber lenses.

That's what I'd recommend for low light.

I now carry 2 pairs of polarized sunglasses for bright and cloudy.

I do the same,  one dark tinted for sunny days and amber lenses for cloudy days.

Bright conditions, I have a pair of 'over the glasses' gray mirror.

For cloudy, amber clip-ons...

Do you know how much Tri-focals cost? I can't afford prescription sunglasses....

Which over the glasses or clip ons? I need to get some badly.

Over the glasses - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Y2THPSQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Several different lens colors - Silver, Green, Red, Gold and Blue mirrored - others in non-mirrored.

They don't carry the clip-ons I got anymore - but there's a number of them out there...

At one time I had a pair of copper, blue and grey lenses, now im down to just the grey ones.  Both the grey and copper are good all around, especially for FW fishing, uness youre on a huge body of water.  The grey lenses are MJ glass and probably have the sharpest clarity of all of them, but man theyre heavy.  I do a lot of SW fishing and really liked the blue lenses, just not ideal in low light.  Never had a good set of green glass lenses, going to try costa brines next.  If I had to pick one for everything it would either be grey or green.

Wearing over the glasses sunglasses if you’re under 70 should be a crime.

When you can't afford prescription sunglasses - those or clip-ons are the only game in town...

Clip ons are ok. Those big suckers that fit completely over your regular glasses, meh, not for me.
