I reckon i'm on the list with the other fellas in this thread. I've been picking up rods like crazy it almost feels like. I don't know if it is just me not used to there being real deals or what but it has been ridiculous. Haven't even had time to put some solid time into a lot of them and I am on the water constantly.

My favorite rod changes a lot. If I truly had to say, it is probably my St Croix Legend Glass rod. It is honestly just one of the prettiest rods ever and it is so responsive and enjoyable to fish with. Feeling fish blitz crankbaits and make hard runs on that rod will forever be one of my favorite things. 7'2 medium model. I don't use it for chatterbaits often but every time I have it has done that perfectly too.

I guess I will say my Daiwa Steez AGS Bottom Contact and Steez SV reel. It balances perfectly and the Steez SV is a pretty sweet reel, casts further than the Tatula and the braking system is quite effective if I have to pick one.

My favorite is whichever one I have in my hand with a fish on at the moment.  My rod buying centers around consistency so most all of my rods have the same 'feel' even if they are different lengths and actions.  They are all falcon and either expert or Cara aside from 1 or 2 bucoo I carry now and then.

That said, the expert head turner with a JDM Met has a really nice feel about it and when I pick it up it just feels right.  If I were ever to have multiples of the same rod it would probably be that one.

Caught some nighttime basses on a chatterbait last weekend under the full moon. That bite's only gonna get better as we get further into June. My favorite setup is gonna be a Zillion HD on a Ark Invoker 7'4" H MF for the next couple months until the sun comes up. I have four of these rigs for a reason. They're OUTSTANDING for single hook moving baits.

After daybreak, it's gonna be all about pitching into the nastiest stuff I can find with an Invoker 7'6" XH F, with a Lew's SP and 50# 832.

These two setups will see more action from now till October than everything else combined.

I have no favorites, I like all my rigs equally.

Personally can't say this about myself.  Really like most, but there are a few rods that I'd rather not use if another rod is available.  For reels I don't have one I don't like, but quite a few that I prefer.  Choosing one?  Nope.

One of my very favorite setups to use is one I don't use nearly as much as I like.  Aetos 6'6" MLM  and PXL Type R.  Makes me smile every time.  Majority of the time I will have a MHF in hand.  Way too hard to pick just one combo.

Like a few others, I have several rods and reels that I haven't used yet.  ?

Despite many combos the one I always reach for is my 7'9" XH Tatula swimbait rod paired with a Lexa HD 300. And on the end of the line you will usually find a BGC 7" glider...

My favorite setup is a Kistler KLXTCRWJ70MH (7’ MH/F) with a first generation Concept C on it.  It just feels ‘right’ and I can throw almost anything on it.

I like certain rods and reels for certain applications, but I don't have a favorite.

Rod: Basspro Johnny Morris Platinum Signature Rod, MH/F, 7'4"

Reel: Daiwa Tatula CT, Left-handed, 7.3:1
Line: 40 lb Powerpro braid

I've caught everything from crappie to 15-pound salmon on this setup. Just yesterday I caught my PB largemouth weighing in at 6 pounds throwing a chatterbait. I love it for t-rigs; I feel everything and for big fish like salmon it has plenty of backbone.

I could never pick a single rod, it's whatever caught the last 5lb+ fish.   They're all special depending on the bait/time of year.

For reels, much easier.    The new JDM Zillions.     I've got an older Steez and the older flagship Shimano, the Calais 100a, amazing reels.....but sadly reels aren't timeless like good rods imho.

In a year or two if I raise my budget, I'm sure I'll say a Steez SV TW.   Reels just get better and better.    For now though between the Zillion SV TW and HD TW......they can handle 95% of anything you'd want to throw.
