I have 4 casting setups,

But my Daiwa SV103HL on a Phenix Feather 7'3"XH is my favorite setup.

I like it better than my Steez LTD on my Xpride.

It's my go to setup for almost everything.

Right now it’s no contest. A Kistler Helium 7.0” MHF and a Daiwa Fuego CT100XS with 15 lb. Sunline Shooter Defier. Fishing a Texas rig is my favorite way to catch bass and this rig is great for that.

For some reason I'm always more confident and enjoy fishing more with my Dobyns Champion XP 734c and Lews BB1 combo. I have a Champ XP 703c with Tournament MB that's a close runner up.

I have a brand new G.Loomis NRX+ 843c with a Tranx 150, but I just don't like it that much, yet. I guess I'm not used to its different balance. It sure is sensitive though. I'm sure with time and fish on the board, I'll warm up to it.

Custom 7.6’ m rod with a Shimano Curado X70 with 12# fluorocarbon line and a Zman ZinkerZ on a 2/0 vmc ewg hook poured on a modified Midwest finesse mold.  Today the heads varied from 1/8 to 1/4 and green pumpkin was the best color.

Casting: 7'4 HF St. Croix LTB with a 2022 Bantam 6.2 to 1.  I got it originally to throw Horny Toads but its turned into my H reaction baits rod.  Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits with swimbait trailers and T rigged horny toads.  The next thing I want to try out are buzzbaits with soft plastic frogs.  The Bantam is just a dream to crank all day.

Spinning: 6'8 MF St. Croix Avid Walleye with a JDM Tatula 2500 shallow.  This has taken over as my drop shot rod.  I noticed when I go fishing all of my other spinning rods have been staying in the car.

When I go pond and river fishing these have become my default rods to bring.

Which power/action are you using? I recently got a kistler helium 1 power casting rod for some power bfs, love it. Now I’m thinking about trying one of their mh rods.

Right now, my number one is my Daiwa Feider topwater/jerkbait rod with a daiwa alphas 800, all day comfort, and also because topwater.

My jig stick. Fenwick Aetos 7’ MH-F with a Pflueger Supreme XTC spooled with 40lb Sufix 832 to a 25lb Yo-Zuri HD Fluorocarbon leader pitching a Siebert Outdoors jig with a Netbait trailer!

Probably Dobyns Champ XP 734c with 6.3:1 JDM Zillion SV. My go-to moving bait combo

7’2” MH Expride B with 7.1:1 JDM Zillion SV is a close 2nd though.

I’ve noticed any rod I throw a Zillion on instantly becomes my favorite combo. Just a perfect reel that makes any rod comfortable to hold and any combo smooth to operate

I don’t have a favorite setup as all my rods and reels are tools for different jobs but if I had to pick one I’d probably take my fury 703c. I can do a lot of different things with it

It’s a 7’ 0” MHF Texas-Carolina Rigs, Jigs rod. It does not have a numerical power rating number. Just listed as Medium-Heavy and rated for 1/4-1 oz, 15-20 lb. line. I think the standard Helium MH are all 4 Power. So it’s likely a 4. I have no issues with hooksets with Texas rigs or jigs.

I’ve picked up 5 new rods this year so I can’t really say which one is my favorite yet. But I can say I’m having the most fun with my ML Phenix Feather and Curado BFS. It just makes you want to giggle every time you cast it. The ALX Deputy and Toadface are awesome too.

I'm in the same boat - 6 new rods, 6 new reels.

Tomorrow is my first bass outing of the year - and I'll be taking 3 and 3 with me...not loading everything I own for this trip.

You're first post made me feel better about grabbing that 15# BG, it's going on the exact same Kistler, but your second post made me scratch my head a bit.

I really dig that7ft  4.5 Kistler helium with any tatula and 12#hybrid.

But a top contender is my 7'2mhmf Croix Victory with braid, killer for swim jig, chatterbait, spinnerbait.

Powell Inferno - Texas Rigs, weightless to 1/4 oz.

Diawa Tatula - Texas Rig/Jig-n-Craw, 1/4 oz to 3/4 oz.

Kistler Helium - heavier Jigs, heavier cover or deeper water. 1/2 oz to 1 oz.
