Well I earned this one. I was out fishing with two rods, put my Tatula Elite behind me and threw out a bomb cast with the other, which knocked over my Tatula Elite - and caused a birds nest that I had to cut out. Somewhere along the line no pun intended, this happened.

I bought it used, so no warranty.

Looks like the guide just popped out of the wrapping. You should be able to fix that yourself. :)

The bottom of the guide is broken off. I thought the same thing at first.

I must not see it because I can clearly see the foot on the guide. Brian.

If it were my rod @Boomstick, I’d reach out to Daiwa regarding a repair because they’ve fixed them (Zillions) in the past. Or I’d reach out to another friend, Krazy Glue if you can reinsert the guide foot.

You're right, I can see it in this pic. Sometime after this I went to see if I could stick it under the wrapping and maybe throw some glue in there but it was not attached anymore.

@Boomstick, earlier in this thread I mentioned contacting Daiwa about repairing your damaged rod. I had them repair a damaged line guide on my Zillion because I wanted it done right due to the rods age and the repair was $15 plus shipping and they picked up return shipping. Roughly 6 months later I broke the rod on a hook set punching. I called Daiwa, explained the situation. The rep confirmed they worked on it, said send us the rod and we’ll see if we can fix it. About two weeks later this arrived.

Contact Tackle Trap, they might be able to hook you up with a new guide. Brian.

Sorry that happened. I had the ehrler spinning rod with ags and really liked it…. Rod bag slid over when I shut my van door and….. it’s gone oops

I have that one too. Breaking that would be a lot worse, I have a cabin on a clear water lake in a week and drop shot and jigs are quite effective there, plus that rod is one of my primary use rods everytime I get my kayak out. Great rod.

This one is the Ehrler finesse M-MH/Xf, best senko rod I own for sure but I do have other options. I got it used for fairly cheap and wasn’t sure if I would find it that useful but like I said it’s my best senko rod for light cover or clear water.

What did they charge? I've got a rod sitting in the corner with a busted AGS.

Free under their 5 year warranty, you will need to send them the rod and they send it back like new. I can ship a rod under $20
