LunkerJunky Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 I'm looking for another medium heavy casting setup to use with straight fluorocarbon to throw moving baits and some topwaters (don't need sensitivity). I was looking at some of the Lew's options because of a lot of the good things I hear about them. I strictly use St. Croix Mojo Bass' with Shimano Nasci's for spinning but I like the Lew's casting rods a lot and wanted to get my hands on one. I was looking at either the Lew's KVD, Lew's TP1 Black, or even the Lew's Mach Crush combo. I would probably pair it with a Lew's Speed Spool or a Lew's KVD. I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with these rods and what your opinion on them was. Thanks. 1 Quote
Justbass11 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I have 2 KVD reels and I love them, I have a few different Lews reels and I can’t say anything bad about them. I also have a number of Lews rods. Eventually I will change all my rods to Lews. I must say you won’t be disappointed. 1 Quote

You can not beat that price point vs the quality. 2 Quote

I have the 6'8" ML crankbait rod arriving today. I plan on tossing Bandit 200s and finesse squarebills on it. I'll give an update when I receive it. Quote
