Kirtley Howe Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Did you notice that for a lot of today Keith Pouche was leading the tournament? He ended up second after weight in, but is only 1 lb 1 oz back, so he still has a great chance of winning. He actually got a fair amount of time on camera during the coverage, and the announcers were...are you ready for this?....extolling the virtues of his flat bottom aluminum boat. I guess all is forgiven after his DQ in the open division. Quote

Super User scaleface Posted June 4, 2023 Super User Posted June 4, 2023 I hate action movies. They bore me to death. This is a good tourney . I'm watching the casting , the picking apart of cover . Dropping a spinnerbait in a small cut, skipping a popper under the buck brush. The anglers have to work for each and every fish . I'm watching guys trying to get bit , not hauling in bass after bass. 1 Quote

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted June 4, 2023 Super User Posted June 4, 2023 This derby becomes a paint drying contest every day once the sun rolls up. The boredom is interrupted by moments of pure excitement when a 1.1 fish hits the deck every 47 mins ? 4 Quote
Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted June 4, 2023 Super User Posted June 4, 2023 Fishery might not be my style, but watching these guys accomplish their dreams is pretty cool. This dude earned it, congrats to Brock! 4 Quote
GReb Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Big win for Brock. He’s finished top 5 so many times it was great to see a fellow Mississippian hold up that trophy. It’s no surprise he won at Sabine as it fishes just like most of our water here and is perfect for his style. 2 Quote
