Bream Master Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I have 10 of them in 4 EWG and 5 EWG. I would rate them just a tad bit below Gamakatsu hooks. I think they are good quality for an angler on the budget. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted December 10, 2006 Super User Posted December 10, 2006 They are good for their price (I got about 50 for $6 on sale one time) but I don't like them that much, it seems harder to set the hook with them, not sure if it's the angle or the sharpness. Quote
Crabcakes Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I never liked the shape of the bend in the shank and the angle of the point. I can't say it affected performance but i found them annoying to rig and I didn't have confidence in the bend design. Quote
CrazedL.IFisherman Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 anyone use hookerztackle hooks, i just purchased quite a few of those hopefully they are decent to good quality Quote
Super User FishTank Posted December 11, 2006 Super User Posted December 11, 2006 I tried a batch of these last year and I did not care for them. They rusted real easy and did not stay sharp for very long. I would not recommend them. I have been using Gamakatsu, Owner and occasionally Eagle Claw. Quote
castaway Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I use the Matzuo circle hooks. They work extremely well for me.I have used the Owners and Daiichi circle hooks ad I think the Matzuos work just as well. :)Ivan Quote
