I received a Curado K 201HG a few months ago, but have yet to put it on a rod. Was wondering what techniques and baits that Curado K owners really like to use with it. Trying to figure out where to put this in my arsenal. Where it would be best utilized. I should note, 90% of my fishing is done from the bank.

Also, do you prefer any specific rods that you think it really pairs well with? I'm looking for a rod to pair it with, at around $150 or less.

To me they are a good all around work horse reel.
I have one on a perfect pitch I use for magdrafts, one on a falcon expert all around I use for chatterbaits and cranks,  have one on a Dobyns 734c for spooks and buzz baits, and one on a Dobyns 804c for Carolina rigs.

The Dobyns Fury 734C, 733C, and 703C were a couple of the rods I was thinking about. For the most part, seems like MH rods and higher is what I am seeing the reel paired with.

I put mine on a ALX Toadface. I use it for most everything over around 3/8.

The 3/8oz and higher is what I am seeing from the little bit of research I've done so far.

I found that I enjoy using them for mag drafts, jigs, and frogs. It’s one of those reels though that is really hard to use for the wrong thing, aside from something as extreme as BFS. Phenomenal reel all around that will serve you well

I am thinking about moving it to my heavy jig rod and getting a Curado 150 MGL for the Toadface.

it is a multi-tasker.  i kinda feel at this point, it is more beneficial to choose the line you want to match to a series of techiques more.

Put a ton of 65 lbs braid on it and throw frogs, big frogs and some swimbaits on a H, H+ or XH rod.  Drop down to the 150 MGL for M or MH all around use or a for pitching on a H.  70 MGL for a ML, M and jerkbaits or if the profile of the 70 is preferred over the 150 MGL.

I use mine with large-ish baits such as crankbaits, underspins, bigger Texas rigs on MH/F or H/F rated rods. I currently have 15 lb Big Game on it. Great reel. Casts well and is plenty beefy for my needs.

I have mine spooled up with 12lb floro and use it as my all around moving bait reel.  Does great for spinner baits and chatter baits.  It's way too bulky for anything like a jerk bait.

I've only one ,I have it on my frog rod. Seems perfect for these.

Contemplating that also. Not sure if I want to put like 14-15lb flouro on it for baits in the 1/2oz range and up to different kinds of swimbaits up to like 1 1/2oz, or do I just put 10 or 12lb line on and use it as a multitasking rod.

I use mine for swimbaits.

Gloomis IMX pro SWB 862, 10lb braid, 8 lb floro leader, 1/4 ounce jig head, Keitech 3.3 impact fat.

Killer rig for smallmouth.
