Wow dk2429, that is a thing of beauty. Congrats!

Thanks for the kind words! Perfect all around boat. I use it in the coastal bays down here in Texas for trout and redfish one week, then the next it goes up to Sam Rayburn or Toledo Bend for bass.

How are these Majeks in rough water?  I love the low sided center console bay boat design but always wondered about their choppy water behavior.  Everybody around here has Lunds.

They do pretty good! I fish the coastal bays down here in Texas with it, which can get rough at times. I can cruise it pretty easy in a 2ft chop no problem. Anything over that though can get bumpy, but it does stay dry. It does have the V hull, but the only thing is that it's not a very "sharp" or "deep" V. The main reason I got it was because I can use it to fish the saltwater bays/flats for trout/redfish/flounder in a foot of water one day, and then the next day I can drag it up to Sam Rayburn or Toledo Bend for bass fishing. Great all around boats! Currently pushing 64mph trimmed out with the hammer down

Yeah that's what appeals to me as well- I like jet boats and fishing heavy veg shallows etc. but it's hard to find a boat that has everything you want- which is pretty much nothing but a good layout, extremely durable surfaces and some good storage.  Jon boats work good for floating in that type of stuff but moving from place to place leaves a bit to be desired.

Went and got the boat out of storage today.  2005 Alumacraft Navigator Sport.  75 HP  4 -stroke Yamaha outboard. Bought it new and have enjoyed it ever since!!!!!!

Made a significant upgrade in the last year. First was the tundra to pull it, then i added a new tzx190, leftover 2015, HPDI 150. It has 2 HDS5 Gen2 in it plus an HDS9 Gen3 with totalscan.

Its unreal having this new setup, took a long time to get here.

Nah ~ Talons are holding the boat in 2 feet.

Did use the boots though.

Everyone starts somewhere! My first boat was a 1979 Terry 14', tiller steering. I replaced the transom and decked it. Second boat was a 1992 Tracker with a 40hp, started out with a 25 that gave me problems left and right. Finally I got a glass boat this spring. That boat you have can go ANYWHERE. When it hits bottom you just keep on going without grinding your teeth together. The simplicity of the older aluminums cannot be discounted. The only bad part about an older boat is parts for motors start to become obsolete. Youll find some guy making a carb screw that chose to make them from titanium because the manufacturer quit offering it and now he wants $125 for a $3 part.

Taking the rig out for a spin on a perfectly quiet evening of solitude on glass...  It never gets old!  Didn't even get a nibble that day and didn't care.

Ha!

Never in a million years did I expect to have someone recognize that spot!

You live around here?

I'm in CT but we have a place in Chester. I go there on occasion. I've taken more photos there than fish. But that's no fault of the lake.

That's great!  Chester is very pretty, I live probably 3 mins from Lowell.  You a skier?  Seems the next logical question ??
