thomas15 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I've heard that about Beltzville, that's a shame. I've never been there before either but have heard that it once was a nice fishery. If you ever want to I'd be willing to get together and do some fishing sometime. Not that I know the lake or am good, but Harvey's lake is another one if you'd be interested in coming up and we'll go fish it together. I'm game for certain. Thanks Quote
thomas15 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 True. I've bypassed pak to go to one of them before. I'd do it again for champlain or candlewood. I go to hopatcong before I would pak But enough derailmenty May I ask where you spend most of your time fishing? I have a brother that lives in Plattsburg. But alas, we not on the best of speaking terms. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted September 30, 2014 Super User Posted September 30, 2014 Sold my Prowler Big Game to clayton. Still have my Bullet and Xpress boaits. Been playing around in this, a Jackson Cuda. It's not my favorite boat, and has some issues with it's design, but as a simplified craft for small water, especially with current, it works. 2 Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 It's settled. My winter project is to find a sensible 14ft aluminum boat to intelligently customize so I can bring my 8yo stepson out more easily to have Quabbin- and so I don't get hosed on the dock like last time when they were out of rentals. (They need conservation seals to be allowed on, so you need a dedicated boat) It has to happen. I need it in my life!! That said, what say you oh wise boat sages- v bottom or flat bottom? (Small motor, low deck and sensible seating) Quote

Super User Master Bait'r Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 Semi v. Best of both worlds! Jeff Thanks! I think I will have probably start a thread about it soon, I have in depth questions and don't want to derail this thread. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 Semi V is the preference for many of the NYC ressy anglers as well. There's some that prefer the extra room a flat jon provide. Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Changed up my Hobie armada for the upcoming year. I added two new hulls - one is the new Hobie Outback which I will post later once I get it on the water and rigged. The one I have taken out so far is the Hobie Quest. It paddles like it is on rails and is super easy to handle on the water. I christened her properly last week with an inshore slam of striper, redfish and speckled trout. 1 Quote

kjfishman Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Love my Tridents. Trident 13 and Trident 15. I see you have what looks like registration numbers on the yak in the 3rd photo. Are you required to register your kayaks on Oklahoma? We don't have to register kayaks in MO Quote

I'm thinking about buying a similar used boat myself. Quote

I'm thinking about buying a similar used boat myself. The Sport R70 is 17'6" with the setback and it is rated for a 130 which is what this one has on it. You'll see a lot of them with 115's though. 1 Quote
