skood Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I picked up a barely used 2001 G3 Pro MV175 with a 60 Yamaha about 6 weeks ago, so near the end of the season I will spend all winter struggling while I wait for Spring. We have our first snow on the ground now, I did get 3 weeks use though, enough to make me sure that I got the right boat. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 24, 2013 Super User Posted November 24, 2013 I got a new boat and the next day the weather turned cold and it may not warm up till spring. 2005 186 Triton 150hp and a I pilot Lme 2 Quote

Got to ditch the console graph from the 1930's lol. Is that an imaging unit on the bow? Quote

Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 25, 2013 Super User Posted November 25, 2013 Sweet!!! Got to ditch the console graph from the 1930's lol. Is that an imaging unit on the bow? I'm at a loss for what to do with the antique on the console? Lol I haven't even turned it on yet to see if it works! I'd like to just put a 898-999 out to the side but I want something decent in the console? The one on the bow I just sat there. It's a 858 but it will work with the built in ducer ... I'm not sold on that unit and have listed it in the flee market and may replace it with a 998-999 I just hate how the cable goes on that shaft. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 25, 2013 Super User Posted November 25, 2013 Big fan of the white tritions Pick up a MKA-47 bracket for the terrova Is that just a quick release mount? My motorguide wireless is a quick release and I never remove it. The boat is stored inside so theft is not a big problem and I got 5k worth of insurance to cover tackle rods and fish finders... Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 25, 2013 Super User Posted November 25, 2013 Beautiful triton. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for that bad boy? Thanks everyone for the compliments. $13500. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted November 25, 2013 Super User Posted November 25, 2013 Looks like you can put a RAM mount on the side of the console where the rod ramp ends for a bigger graph. Looks like plenty of room. Maybe put an aluminum plate over the dash hole, and mount a 700 series Bird to the plate. It's not too heavy, the base has a small footprint and a quick release. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted November 25, 2013 Super User Posted November 25, 2013 Or a plastic plate and have the whole dash hydro-dipped Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 25, 2013 Super User Posted November 25, 2013 Yea no problems on having room on the side with a ram mount... But with that I don't see allot of need for the 700 so I'm still looking for something to do with the dash. I've thought about a hydraulic jack plate and put the trim gauge there but I can't swing all that now. On a side note, I've seen telescopic mounts on the bow for fish finders but I have no idea who makes them? Andy ideas? They look like they extend around 16" Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 25, 2013 Super User Posted November 25, 2013 I think I found them http://www.allisonboats.com/content/bass-boats/e-ped/ Quote

It's an adjustable slide bracket, you can move it 6" so the unit is out of the way. The terrova really sticks out and can smack against the bow roller or anything close by. It saved my butt more times than I can count getting in and out of certain waters Quote
