With this picture I am now finally understanding how sandwich brackets work after hearing them mentioned so many times.  I like the looks of that and think it will work on my renegade. I might wait for the 15 footer coming out soon though! Quote
jbmaine Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Our Lund dealer called and said our boat is in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. They are storing it for the winter for us and installing the electronics etc. so it will be ready for us to pick up in the spring. We just had to take a run over and have a sneak peek.   love the new boat smell. here's a few pics             8 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Here's my latest rig, 2014 Smokercraft Pro Mag 182 with Suzuki 140 fourstroke. Rigged with Humminbird Helix units, Minnkota Terrova and 12' Talon. Awesome rig, motor is whisper quiet and super good on gas but still will hit 50mph. We do everything in it from downrigging salmon and lakers in big swells on Georgian Bay to flipping for largies in 1' of water on smaller inland lakes. 7 Quote
Russ E Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 here is my rig. it is a 2017 ranger Z175. I have owned it for almost a year now. looked at several boats before ordering this one. it cost me $32,000.00 fully loaded. with a 115 mercury pro xs four stroke it will hit 50 mph. it is equipped with 2 hummingbird helix 7's and an Ultrex tolling motor. the only thing I did not add to the boat is power poles. with the Ultrex I have not yet felt the need for them. handles rough water amazingly well. very easy to control in the constant Kansas wind, compared to my previous mod v aluminum boat. surprisingly easy to load and unload with one person. fits nicely in my suburbia garage.   7 Quote
KHartman Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Picked up my new FeelFree Lure 13.5 the other week and got it out last Saturday for the first time! Â Starting to get back into fishing and just trying to take everything in! Â Â Â 1 Quote
Super User Scott F Posted November 17, 2017 Super User Posted November 17, 2017 So last winter, I picked up a used boat, and put a jet tiller outboard on it intending to use it for fishing shallow rivers for smallies. The boat was just too narrow for me and anybody else to comfortably fish from.  I sold the boat, kept the motor and today, picked up a brand new boat. The tiller motor was converted to remote steering for use with a center console. One of the other issues I had with the old boat was the anchor system The electric anchor winch was barely able to pull up the 12lb anchor which was far too small to effectively hold the boat in nearly any amount of current. The new boat, a Blazer 16x48 jon, has a custom made anchor winch with a 55lb chain anchor that will hold the new boat in as fast a current as I'll ever go out fishing. Here's a few pics. This one shows the tower for the anchor system 11 Quote

Looks like you could really customize it how you want it. I think a light bar would look sweet on the front of the console...  Quote

Bought it brand new from the first Triton dealer in Canada, it was the 12th Triton sold in Canada. Fun little boat. 3 1 Quote

DINK WHISPERER Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 The weather kept us in this weekend but I did manage to get some stuff done on the boat. To avoid from losing my marbles inside. One of which was my Bluewater LED bow light kit. 9 Quote

Still wish I had it for running rivers. Quote

My last boat was a pretty similar sized boat with a 60hp 4 stroke on it. I wish I could have kept it but it had to go so that I could afford the one I have now. I hate pulling my bass boat to some of the little lakes with nasty dirt roads and nasty water, and there's no way I'm putting my bass boat on any of the rivers. That's where this boat will come in handy. I took the boat off the trailer today and started grinding on the trailer rust. Got about 5 minutes into it before a wisp of smoke came out of the angle grinder and it stopped  First time it had ever been used too. hopefully be able to trade it in and the replacement will last at least 10 minutes  I got a lot of rust to knock off, but going to do it right the first time and hopefully have a good little boat and trailer for years to come. Hoping one or both of my boys will get interested in fishing and I'll have a little boat they can use when they get to that age. 1 Quote

Johnbt Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 I have a Tracker Grizzly 1648 with a Maxxum 70 on the bow and either a Merc 9.9 or a 12v trolling motor on the back. It's worked well for almost 4 years of pond and reservoir fishing.  I've been debating whether to get a 25 hp to add to the rotation or simply buy a second boat and leave it set up for bigger water. There's a floor crane in the garage, but moving things around is still a minor pain and I'm retired and lazy. A second boat means I could go larger.  The pic was taken in my buddy's garage before my boat ever got in the water. We decided it would be easier to rig it while it was still clean. His antique camo 1648 Polar Kraft is in the background. The major problem with his boat is the lack of floor space because the seats are too close together. The seat posts on mine are 9' apart.  2 Quote
Logan S Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Upgraded the floating tackle box last week, was a little bittersweet dropping my Stratos off since it treated me so well for many years...But that all went out the window when I hitched this beauty up to the truck and drove home .   Skeeter ZX250 / Yamaha SHO 250 11 Quote
