TW came thru and i got a box of sinkers this morning.  the Ryugi sinkers are sick.  almost like jewerly.

i've watched all the videos i can find, and i have a fist full of tasty looking baits.  i will go back to my crystal clear lake, just so i can see the rig in action underwater.   i will use a creature and a flat bluegill profile thing as my bait offerings.

i have my fall back Tex rig sinkers..just in case.  but i am fairly optimistic this is gonna work.  :D

I am sure that you will do good with it, I have been looking locally for weights and coming up empty. I am looking forward to hearing about how it works out for you. Good luck.

here is the update.  i was way more effective with the Tex-Rig.  the Free rig hangs up on that algae, and fine grass every cast.  i had to pull it off every time.

i did catch some awesome fish.  but the tex rig just slips thru any type of grass better.

maybe on rocky stuff.  grassy,,..no thanks.

I’ve never tried it. But it does look like it would be best suited for rock.

Hummmmmmm, seems rock would catch the weight in the cracks and crevices when dragged along. Maybe a pea gravel type bottom it would work well enough but not too sure about chunk.

Yeah, I didn’t think that one all the way through

Odd.  I fish a lake full of filamentous algae and don't have that problem with the free rig.  I don't know what the difference is - what I'm doing different from you.  But here's my video showing how I fish it.  Maybe you can spot the difference?
