Wow,  5 fish for 10 pounds will currently put you in 189th place.

They’ve been having tournaments there for 30 years during a smallmouth spawn also……… thought that was supposed to ruin a fishery??? ?

I am shocked that any angler skunked for the day. I have fished there under some really bad conditions, and the worst I ever did was 4 fish in an 8 hour period, for a weight of about 9 lbs. It is such a fantastic fishery, that it should be almost impossible to not catch at least one scorable bass in a full day of a tournament. Anyone know what happened to the anglers who skunked?

Any angler can get skunked any day on any body of water no matter how skilled the angler, how good the conditions are, or the quality of the lake.  If it hasn't happened to you, keep fishing it will happen.  Hopefully not often, but every fisherman will eventually have a skunk in their boat.

Sometimes the people that got skunked also means their motor wouldn’t start

I have definitely been skunked...more times than I care to admit. But it is still a shock to me when a professional angler gets skunked in a place like the St. Lawrence River. I know it can happen, but it still amazes me.

He might have just sunk his chances at the Elite series, which is what I've been watching all these Opens for ?

15" LGM and 18" SM limits + this place seems quite challenging

Yeah nice come back, and I wonder where he'll be after this one in the points.

Honestly his season has progressively gotten worse as it's gone along and further away from the true southern LGM fisheries that are Lake Eufaula and Toledo Bend.

He's a big Bass guy, hopefully with more time he'll become equally as good of an elite level derby guy.

It will always be Watt's Gar now that you said it ?

Seems like 20lb bags are the hallmark of a really healthy Bass fishery.

eta:  Amazing that the same half dozen or so guys have managed to catch them every place after 8 events

I had heard a rumor that Milliken smashed into a buoy and set himself back, sure enough he just posted a video of it. Looks like he hit it hard! Those things are brutal
