Works great on Any soft plastic baits.

Does not dry hard like many of the 'super glues'.

Sets up in a few minutes.  This is not something I use 'on the water'.

Does not work on silicone based baits

Pretty sure it's a no go for anything like the Z-Man Elaztech baits

Used it a ton south of the border to 'repair' tattered Storm Wild Eye shads.

When that was the deal, each night our room turned into a Mend-it repair facility.  We'd let them sit overnight and fish them in the morning.

so, if i tear a bait.  can i use a new one, glue the broken one with Mend-It and it will cure while i am getting the new one beaten up?

If you fish big swimbaits like Huddlestons - the stuff is necessary

Absolutely. I have used Mend-It since it came out and find it to be quite effective. I keep a bottle in my boat all the time.

I've never used it.  When I get home I go through my plastics and if they are not torn too badly, then I just melt the plastic back together with a hot knife.

IME ~ sort of.

Seems over time, and I'd say that's over several months if the top is on snuggly,

the consistency gets 'thicker'.

Which in the end, renders it mostly useless.

Fresh stuff is killer though.

If you fish Keitechs or any kind of bigger swimbaits that are on the pricey side, you should use Mend It.  Ive never used it on the water, as I generally paste my torn up baits back together after I get home, let them dry over night and use them the next day.  If you have it on the boat you can paste a bait back together and be using it within 5 minutes.

I have a bottle that is 2 years old and its still good.  You will see some congealing on the top of the bottle or on the applicator.  I suggest buying the biggest bottle they offer and 1 or 2 of the smallest sizes.  I keep the big bottles at home and carry 1 or 2 of the small ones in my tackle bag.

I used it 2 years ago and it worked fine. A year later i used it again and it wouldnt hold the plastic together so i threw it out and went back to using super glue.
