Hey y'all- I need to place an order for some hooks. What are your favorite hooks to use for these baits?

Brush hog / creature bait

Soft jerk baits / flukes

Ned Rigs

Drop shots

Thanks in advance for any recommendations...

My only rule on hooks is no Eagle Claw.  They tend to rust too easily for me.  Plus they need to be sharpened early and often.  The Trokars are supposed to be better, but that brand has soured me, so I won't even give them a try.  I'm not even picky on hook sizes.

1. and 2. EWG around size 1/0.

3.  Zman Pro Shroomz with the weed guard.

4.  some kind of drop shot hook/octopus hook around size 1.

i have a cornicopia of hooks.  and sadly my hook philosophy has changed.

i'll start with the easy ones that seem consistent.  the drop shot hook.  i have lots of Owner Downshot offshot hooks that are awesome.  but i ONLY tex-rig my baits.  no nose hooks.

i dont ned-rig.  closest thing to a fluke is my skinny dippers and i use  a 4/0 screw lock.

okay.  here is where i am changing.  i used the Oh-shannasey hook and the Owner Haymaker with affection. but i changed!!  i am now discovering longer bait life with the straight shank hooks!!  i use the ReBarb hooks with the mono bait keepers.  Owner makes a version as well with a slightly heavier wire hook, but the bait keeper is further down the shank.  both look awesome.  i am so tired of repositioning my bait on that bendy hook keeper on the offset hooks.  i plan on using them up, but it is over for me, until i change again :D

I use Trokar hooks for most all techniques and presentations and have for years.
I don’t Ned or drop

I've gone to mostly straight shank for my soft plastic hooks except for tubes and really think plastics that need the wide gap. I use mostly the Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp Finesse Worm Hook or Flipping Hook depending on what I'm doing.

For flukes I use the Eagle Claw Round Bend Worm Hook Platinum Black.

I make my own Ned heads with the Eagle Claw Pro V bend jig hooks (formerly the Lil' Nasty hooks).

Dropshotting I use the Owner Cover Shot.

I absolutely love my Trokar's so

1 Trokar TK130's

2 Trokar TK110

3 Don't do it often enough to pay up so I've got a mix of Zman, some off brand, and Eagle Claw

4 TK225 even though I want to try the new TK25's as well. If I need a bigger size I use the VMC spinshots

If your running zman elaztec, my friends and I hate the thin wire zman neds with the L weed guard on the back. We prefer thicker wire ned hooks and barrel lure keepers (and a dab of super glue).

Trokar 3/0 flipping hooks

and honeslty what ever is on sale 5/0 and 3/0 ewg plastic hooks. I think I have mostly Bass pro, $4.99 for 25 pack, price year round. I also use the 5/0 for salt water stripers sluggos and I dont have them bend out on fish up to 35#. 30# leader, 40#braid.

I always start with Owner.   Twistlock for most.  SSW for dropshot and wacky.  Owner wacky weedless for...well, wacky weedless.

My taste in hooks changes as I gain or loose confidence in one particular brand or style. Currently I am using the following.......

Creature baits - 1/0 to 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG

Fat Ikas, Flat Gills, and Cover Scat - 3/0 - 5/0 Owner WIDE Gap Plus

Senkos - Ryugi Infini 3/0 - 5/0, Gamakatsu G finesse 3/0

Flukes - Owner Twist Lock

Dropshot - I can't make up mind on this one. I am still undecided on nose hooking or using a light wire EWG

Wacky Rig - Berkley Fusion

Ned Rigs - Anything but the Zman brand.

Roboworms and curly tail worms - Owner Cover Shot.

Flipping - Gamakatsu Heavy Cover or Trokar Flipping hook

My first choice is Owner when it comes to hooks, then Gamakatsu. If I'm fishing weeds the fin tech title shot is a winner. For neds I really like the regular eagle claw pro v, they are affordable and the hook seems to be fine for a full day of fishing,  but what keeps me coming back to this ned hook is that plastic bait keeper, it doesn't rip up delicate plastics and it keeps the elaztech stuff pinned on without the need for glue.
