My wife and I went on a weekend get away and rented a small cabin. Little pine lake is right down the road so I took my boat. I have never been there . It’s a very small probably 40 acre lake. It was very shallow and clear. We had a great day targeting super shallow lay down and drift wood. No real good size but, I’m not really a big fish hunter. I just want to enjoy it this year. Had a decent numbers day once I put everything together. Drop shot and Ned’s. Didn’t want T rigged works and would only follow moving baits. A small husky jerk may have been a good option too. I never tied one on though. The second day was challenging big temperature drop and got really windy. I got skunked.IMG_2023-5-15-162015.thumb.jpeg.e9ad02136d4056335d59aeac6ca0cb1b.jpeg

Brrrrr! We got that weather too. Just a little inland, they had snow last night. On May 17th!

@ol'crickety as far as my goal I feel like I’ve accomplished almost everything I wanted to do fishing wise. I did the grind to get what I want. Now it’s enjoying it time.

The weather has been insanely hard to get anything going consistently.
