Tatula spools

I’m looking for a low capacity spool for one of my Tatula reels. I’m looking to turn it into a skipping/pitching reel. Where’s a good site to go that has either Daiwa or aftermarket spools?

What size Tatula? I use a Tatula SV for skipping and pitching. A lot of the shallow spools from the auction site have fixed inductors and don't skip really well. 

 

For shallow spools you can get a Ray's Studio or an SDS and they are pretty good - keep in mind they are also pretty fragile and aren't the best for flipping or somewhere that you will put excessive force on the spool from a hookset or line pressure.

It would either be the 100 or the 150. If they’re fragile maybe I’ll just fill the spool with cheap mono, tape the line off, and add my main line then.

I have the Ray's shallow spool for the Tatula 150 and it's a long cast spool which would be terrible for skipping. I also have the Ray's spool for Tat SV and the inductor moves, it's great for skipping but as stated it wouldn't be ideal for flipping.

That’s your answer. If you have a Tatula sv tw, you don’t need a shallow spool, they skip great already. If you don’t have a Tat with the sv spool, I’d get one instead of buying an after market spool. IMO you’re better off putting the money towards the right reel.

The "long cast spool" is just a chinease sv spool.  It actually skips pretty well.
