I tried the 110 with a 3/0 hook rigged from the side with a 3/16 Oz slip sinker. The bait doesn't seem to want to swim straight. What are some rigging options that will allow it to swim straight but remain weedless?

Don't know if this will help but I also rig mine from the side, but use a nail weight inserted in the chin. Swims straight if I keep the retrieve on the slower side of moderate ??

Rig it with a screw lock- 2/0.

If you rig the hook so it lays in that bottom channel it will swim straight. When you stop the bait, it will kick out to the side and that's when they really hammer it
