Super User ChrisD46 Posted May 6, 2023 Super User Posted May 6, 2023 I'm not sure if the SPRO Bronzeye 60 (popping) and 65 (regular) Frogs are named after their sizes OR how many colors each comes in (lol !) ...If you are a fan of the SPRO Bronzeye popping 60 or regular 65 frogs - what colors do you like and which version SPRO frog do you prefer ? Super User Hammer 4 Posted May 6, 2023 Super User Posted May 6, 2023 The only Spro frog I use is the 65 in natural, and Amazon. I use more than 1 brand of frog, but I have no complaints with my Spro frogs. Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted May 6, 2023 Author Super User Posted May 6, 2023 After further research - Spro built a cult frog following - but since they have come out there are other companies who offer a very good frog at a competitive price (often lower $$ than SPRO) . Booyah , Terminator , Scum Frog to name a few ... Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted May 6, 2023 Super User Posted May 6, 2023 I think I got a couple Spros in my box, but mainly I have Booyah (regular) and River-2-Sea Spittin' Wa (popping). Quote
Wildbillb Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 Most of the time the bottom of the frog that a fish will see are all the same. The different colored tops are to catch you. I fish, black, white and then something that I think looks neat, typically some form of green. 1 Quote
HudsonAngler Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 I love the SPRO Bronzeye popping 60 frog in natural green color. As for the regular 65 frog, I prefer it in black color. My advice is to experiment with different colors and see what works best in your local fishing spots. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted May 7, 2023 Global Moderator Posted May 7, 2023 Pad Crasher for me. I don’t invest a whole lot in color but tend to go with darker colors. I don’t remember which pro said it but the bass are looking up in order to see the frog and are mostly seeing a silhouette. Makes sense, plus if you look at any frog lure, the detail in on top where the bass doesn’t see it anyway. Quote

White 60 is good when bass are feeding on shad early mornings. Tom Quote
