Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted August 27, 2010 Super User Posted August 27, 2010 Here are a couple pics of my inflatable. It works great for the small lakes around my area and one plus to it is that I can STAND ;D This is very helpful on my lower back. I just still need to get a seat for more comfort while motoring. Jetlichan Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 hey, I just bought this boat online. How this has been for you? I live in rockford too, were have you taken the boat? Also what battery you use for the trolling motor? Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted March 15, 2011 Author Super User Posted March 15, 2011 There are many places to take it. Closest Rock-Cut w Pierce & Olson, Four Lakes(row only), Lake Le-Aqua-Na, Shabbona(my favorite), float down the Kishwaukee River. Havent been East of town at all. Would like to get to Mendota there are 2 small lakes down there I believe. For motor I have MinnKota Maxxum 55lb digital variable speed and a Farm & Fleet 95amp Deep Cycle. You do have to register it, Ive been checked a few times. Quote
Jetlichan Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Great info on the Lakes!! Thanks...How much time you get on that battery?? and last question how about the boat itself?? No problems?? How is the material really tough? Thank for all this info.. Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted March 16, 2011 Author Super User Posted March 16, 2011 The boat material has held-up well so far. Ive only had it one year now. Before I bought it I got send some sample material from Sea Eagle and tried sticking it with a key quite forcibly and a pen but coundnt poke a hole in it. Even took a lighter and held the flame to the material for 10 seconds and it didnt sustain a hole or melt through The largest lake Ive been to is Shabbona (320acres) and made it around the lake. The battery has lasted on all trips but I dont use it constantly. I will head to an area and anchor or drift and repeat. Can figure that if the motor at full uses 50amps will get around 1hour 45minutes or so runtime out of 95 amp battery. Thats not fishing speed though the boat gets pushed easily at low power for extended running. With my motor it has the "maximizer" tech that is suppose to add even more runtime per charge at lower speeds just never actually checked. I got the group24 size (small) battery cause my back limits what I can lift try to keep things under 40 pounds or so. If you can, get you a group 27 or 29 for more amps. Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted March 16, 2011 Author Super User Posted March 16, 2011 Oh I left out the BIG Lake--Lake Michigan --Thats not me nor will it ever be. Quote

Jetlichan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Forgot to ask you. What did you do to register the boat? did you had to send the title to the dnr with the application? What about the tax form? Which tax form did you submitted and what prrof of tax paid you send to the DNR? I cant beleive how complicated is to have a boat... Any info you can provide me with this will be very helpful...I got the boat on yesterday...cant wait to give it a ride.. Quote
