May 3-5th, place your bets on how Ben will follow up his awesome Toledo Bend victory.   Personally I think he'll make the 10 cut at the minimum.   This dude makes these derbys so much fun because of his post derby show all youtube videos.

Hope he wins, 10 cut will be one step closer to him on the Elite series next year.

I’m a little out of the loop. How can I watch this without cable? Is there a way to stream it online?

Wish they televised the Opens like the Elite, but you can follow along throughout the day with Basstrak, and then watch the weigh ins live everyday on the Bassmaster.com

I'm with you on your thinking but I'm guessing you could have guessed that.  I know it sounded like he got his butt whooped in the practice session so we'll see if that holds any weight come weigh ins today.  Early look on BassTrakk sure makes it seem like 1 good fish might be all he needs with a limit.

Yeah his FB post yesterday was pretty gloom, but this lake doesn't seem to be a big bass factory at all, so like you said if he can find a couple 3-4lb fish, he'll be money.

I wanna see some daygum studs and slaunch-a-sauruses at weigh in ?

Got to love seeing Pangrac doing well thus far, to me this is just another data point that bite must be shallow.    Ben can hammer them shallow, but it's way more fun to see him hammer them deep imho.

Yeah he makes it known that deep fishing isn’t his specialty. Was happy to see him almost in the top 10. I’m rooting for him.

Yeah I've become a fan of his through Ben.    I found BTL from @PhishLI when he was doing interviews with Ben after the first two events.    Felt bad he was having to interview the guy who won, and took 5th in events that he did so poorly in.   Seems like a classy guy, and more on a level I can relate to lol, I can't relate to Ben at all.

Lots of guys haven't posted catches today on Basstrax. Adds to the drama.

He'll be in early, so 1st flight it seems.

That’s how I heard of Pangrac as well, through BTL. Listen to it every day. Definitely the best bass fishing podcast I’ve found.

Am I reading wrong or did Jeff McBeth catch an 11.5 pounder?

Just weighed in....in 4th place as of now, but I doubt it will hold up. No giant bass, but a 5 fish limit.

I'm waiting for this 11-4. Maybe he accidentally added a 1?

These weigh ins take so long lol.

11-8 is ridiculous if true, truly a freak of nature

This fish is a true anomaly based on some data I was reading

Buggs Island Lake (Kerr Reservoir) | Virginia DWR

PDF at the bottom.....fish up to 22" were observed in 2020.   Obviously many to most of the biggest fish never get shocked, but still to never surpass 22", and then bam here's an 11.8.  That's awesome, and that's the stuff that makes Bass anglers keep on going out.   That single fish in a lake.

Did anyone see what the deal ended up being for McBeth?  Did he just have 5 for 11-8?

I somehow missed his weigh in even though I watched all 3 1/2 hours of it. But at the end of it big fish was 5 lbs. 13 oz., so there must’ve been some typo

McBeth had 5 for 11-8.  He made a name for himself with that typo.
