I second the endura max I have a 55 on my sun dolphin and it lasts all day I'm a big boy so is take a lot to move me. I went with the 42" shaft makes it a tone easier to manuver sitting and standing.

Have people modified these Pelican (or other brand) boats to be one-man boats? I would like to know what people have done, pics would be awesome.

What is the best price for Pelican Bass Raider, and has it gone on sale?

Just got my new Bass Raider 10E Trailer built from Harbor freight, very Handy because it tilts, should make launching from banks a lot easier. Got the ideas from posts on this forum. Thnx

chasenfish, nice rig there. What's under the carpet?

Can you unload your boat by backing that trailer into the water like a boat trailer, is there a way to "waterproof" the hubs or whatever?

I have a flat trailer no tilt any advice for getting the boat back on the trailer on steep ramps

I use a converted double Sea-Doo trailer. I use a rope attached to a front handle to pull the boat onto the trailer and then tie it off to the trailer till I get to the "make ready for travel" area. I have some pics of it earlier in this thread. I have friend who uses a flat bed trailer and he basically does the same thing.

Cool thanks for the reply I will try that this things a bear decked out and I'm not getting younger lol

Be careful backing them in the water. I've been doing it this spring, checked other day and one side had water in it, the other didn't. Chasenfish, be careful with the two tie brackets on the back. I left those off to avoid the risk of gouging in my boat.

pointhunter75,

Thanks for the heads up about the brackets on the back of the boat....I didn't even think of that. One quick question, what were you talking about when you said one side had water in it?

To answer earlier questions the deck is a 4 x 8 sheet of 3/8" marine plywood, I cleaned the grease out of the hubs and packed them with marine grease. I have only used it once, I backed it down the bank into a pond like a regular boat trailer, seemed to work ok.

I meant the hubs, one side, the Cap fits really tight, the other one doesn't and that's the side that had water in the bearings. Thought about putting a big oring around the cap lip to see if that would seal it. It's so much easier when backing it in the water. Btw bearing buddies won't work with the stock metric hubs. You have to change the hubs out with standard 1" hubs.

11263104_10152920526883528_8572040524741LOL, I just spent like 2 hours reading this whole thread.

I picked up this bad boy on Craigslist and started hunting around to see what other mods people have done.

Been fishing out of a yak the last couple of years, but my back just couldn't take it anymore.

BTW, this thread is friggin epic!

What is the longest of these type boats and whatever it is, is it still in production? I think I have seen one 11.3' long.

Has anyone installed a drain plug in the rear of there hull? Real pain taking all my mods off so I can tip it on end.
