Control.  You are able to put the boat exactly where you want.  It also allows you to fish from the front, putting you 5 to 10 feet closer to the target as well as keeping the boat further away from the target.

Decades ago, one of the first guys who put an electric motor on the front said he did it because "it is easier to pull a chain than push it".

Hey Born 2 Fish, about an hour after my last post complaining, I got an email from Bass Pro that my boat shipped.  Hopefully yours is about to ship also, and maybe the Cabelas guys also, I hope.

When did you originally order your boat?

lol....I just bought mine last night from basspro with a date of june 16-29th or something and they literally just sent me an email saying its been delayed and the whole 60day cancellation thing.

Should I order from bass pro instead? I feel like they have better customer service than cabelas.

LISTEN UP CABELA GUYS: BACKORDER DATE IS THE 18TH. JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF YOU ORDERED BEFORE THE OUT OF STOCK DATE 90% CHANCE YOU'RE GONNA GET YOUR BOAT....

BASS PRO GUYS I ALSO ASKED, IF YOU ORDERED AFTER JUNE 15TH THEY ARE NOW SOLD OUT.. YOUR ORDER WILL BE EITHER DELAYED OR CANCELED...

My order date was May 3.  Although they said it shipped, there is no tracking info available, so hopefully it really is on the way, who knows.

Tracking info comes usually 24 hours after shipping. I ordered some baits from bass pro and the same thing happened. Keep us posted!

@TriStateBassin106 OK see that's very strange because I also JUST got off the phone with Cabela's customer service and they told me the new date was June 22nd (for the boats to arrive in their warehouse)

I think this is Cabelas version of pushing the date back. Or the different dates might be for the specific boat and time we individually ordered it, I don't know if I ordered mine before you but that might be how it works, this whole situation is very confusing and I'm honestly getting annoyed at being told different things by these people on the phone and emails, first it was June 2nd, then the 15th, now the 18th I was told this morning and now you got told the 22nd...

What could he happening and I was told this on the phone today is that Pelican is filling out the backorderes from certain time periods, maybe the people who were first to order theirs got the boats shipped to them on the 2nd, then Pelican got the next batch in on the 15th. Now the 18th and 22nd might be more batches of boats, I was also told that since the country is reopening the batches are coming in quicker and the boats weren't essential.

I know this might sound crazy but it could be how they're doing this.

My buddy just purchased on of these boats and it has the hard plastic seats. I have a lot of back issues and cannot sit long in these type of seats. Can anyone recommend some type of cushion or padding to use on these seats? Thank you

New seats.  Not being a smartypants,  I tried everything as a cushion and they all slid off.  Bought comfortable seats.  I found that if you are going to fish hard, the seat has to be soft.

Bass pro has low profile seats with cushions, same seats you'd put on a bass boat. If you need a link just let me know.

1 of the best moves I made on my 10e was to install 2 millennium marine 100 series seats on my boat....feels like I'm sitting in 1 of my treestands, easy on the back, but, plus they breathe so you dont get as warm like the standard seats that comes with it......100 bucks each, was well worth it for me and my fishing partner who is also my financial advisor, chef, drinking partner bed mate...lol....she loved me making that seat move....easy to nap in also

OK, so here is my update as requested....Bass Pro told my wife that the boat was being transported by ABF Trucking, but they had no tracking info.  Then she called ABF, and they told her that the truck will be at the terminal in my area (St Louis metro area) this Friday the 19th, and at my house on Monday the 22nd. Fingers crossed!

OK now I need some advice.  As stated in the previous post, my 10E will be here next week.  I have a Minn Kota Endura Max 45 lb thrust trolling motor on the way to me.  I also bought the Minn Kota Power Center Box.  The box says its compatible with group 24 and 27 battery sizes.  I know nothing about batteries.  Do I just go to Wal Mart and ask for a group 27 deep cycle marine battery?  I don't even know what any of that means.  Are there certain models/brands I should be looking at?  Any other terminology i need to know?

Ya - that's pretty much it... the group is the physical size of the battery.

One thing to keep in mind is the AH rating...the higher the number, the longer you'll be able to power your TM...AH is Amp-Hours.

In my case I have a 75AH battery running a Endura 30 - at speed 5 it draws 30 amps...so I could run at max for 2.5hours.

Your TM draws 42amps at max, 20amps at mid and 5amps at slow - so a 100AH battery will run your TM at max speed for 2.4 hours, mid speed for 5 hours or dead slow for 20 hours.

East Penn is the manufacturer of many labels - Duracell is one, West Marine is another. I have a West Marine and it's been solid.

Walmart I believe sells Autocraft and duracell deep cycle batteries I plan to buy for my Endura c2 55lb motor. They'll probably work for you aswell.

What batteries would you recommend for a minn kota 55lb endura c2?

The 55# C2 maxes at 50amps (from the owners manual), 25amps at mid speed, 5amps at dead-slow. So base your AH rating on that...100AH = 2 hours at max, 4 hours at mid-speed, 20 hours at min.
