What are you guy's using to add drain plugs to the back of the raider and what size plug? I see amazon has multiple drain plugs in different sizes.

What exactly are you using to drill through the plastic?

. I tried to search but couldn't see anything specific.  This is my first "boat" so I am nervous about drilling and overall just inexperienced so I would appreciate specifics and links.

Just about any size drain would work.  3/4" or 1".

I used a hole saw and a battery drill.

Note that there is about 3/4" gap between the upper and lower at the drain plug location.

I cut a short length of PVC pipe, slotted it, curled it in to fit in the hole then expanded it so the plug would fit.  Thin gasket top and bottom then tighten against the insert.

Otherwise you will be pulling on the top and bottom.

Thank you. I had the hardest time figuring out what the actual drill attachment was called.

Seems pretty simple to do.

Go slow and you'll get a fairly round hole.

I used a 3/4 inch 'Spade' bit for the pontoon drain plugs.

Is that the West Marine Brand Navigational light mounted on the back? I have the same exact one on my raider but I lost my piece to tighten the mount and the pole.

Well mine was delivered today by ABF straight into my garage. On the exact date Bass Pro listed when I purchased it. 6 days after purchase.

For anyone that does get the home delivery you will have to contact ABF after you buy it and provide your name and address. They will give you tracking information.

No dents, major scrapes or holes. Really smooth process

Can't wait to hit the water now

Last year I ordered mine from cabelas but after 3 months of waiting they canceled it. This past April a friend from a bass pro that works there reached out and told me they had a few 10ENXTs in stock and I decided to to go for it. Payed 800$ for it.

Decided to change motors.  Getting one with a REAL reverse.  Flipping the tiller requires me to be way in the back.

To recap, the shelf is two layers of 3/4" ground contact ply, bolted to an angle bracket at the bottom of the transom plate with 3 through bolts through the ply and 3 through the transom.

Aluminum stock is bolted to the inside of the upper shell with slotted capture nuts (loaded in shear, not tension).  Raised the mount about an inch and added an aluminum angle to stop the mount from creeping upwards.  Mount clamps are at the top of the original transom.  Added two more diagonal braces.  The wife and I usually run pretty loaded down and the prop gets lots of water even raised an inch or so. Little black arrows show the loading direction (in forward gear).

Does anyone have any chair ideas for the raider? Both my aluminum brackets that hold my seats are starting to bend down and soon won't be able to fit in the roller on the boat. I'm a big guy at 6'1 and 305 and I heard other big guys had this problem in the past but I don't know what they did to fix it.

Spit balling here,

If you are handy, A 3/4" ply shelf, pop rivet to some tubing along the sides to hold in place and a pedestal.

If the tubes are a little shorter than the factory ones (cut to about 22.5") you can rotate the frame 90 and set it on the bottom for a low position and a high position.

I cut down the tubes on the wife's seat (front) for less wind resistance at speed and so I could see over her shoulders.  Just lift and turn 90 degrees and it's in the rails again.

Hi guys, I know this conversation has been going on for quite a while. So I figured that you guys might be able to help me out. I was given a Bass raider the 10e model from my uncle and I have been enjoying it a lot. However my dad has a 11.5 ft peddle kayak and it’s very difficult for us to go fishing together because we have had to put the Bass raider in the truck then put the kayak on the Bass raider but it still leans on the sides of the truck bed and rail with the front of the kayak against the window. We are worried that it will break the window and it’s also just difficult to put in. Anyone have any ideas other than a trailer? Thanks in advance!

A little update on my 10E and a new motor.

I've posted pics of the transom reinforcement and the small forward deck previously.

The "new" motor is a 5HP 4 stroke Mercury, about 16 pounds heavier than the 3.5HP. I really like the real reverse on the new motor.

It came with a 7.8"X8" prop and got me and the wife up to 6.6mph but WOT was only 4520rpm, calculated  58.5% slip.

Recommended max rpm is 4500 to 5500rpm.

Bought a 7" pitch prop and wednesday got these numbers;

(7.8X7 Solas Aluminum 3 blade)
7.2mph@5370rpm=55.9% slip (WOT)
7.0mph@5220rpm=55.9% slip
6.0mph@4565rpm=56.7% slip
4.0mph@3030rpm=56.6% slip.

A 6" and 9" pitch prop are offered but

looks like the 7" pitch is the best for the load we normally go with.

Video with the 8" pitch, didn't take one with the Faster 7" :)

Hi folks, looking for advise on running a trolling motor with lithium batteries on the Bass Raider 10E. The boat is new, need to decide on a motor and the batteries. For weight reasons as I age I'm thinking of going Lithium. I know I can't run full out on the motor with lithium, which is fine with me, I don't go far, the biggest pond I fish is 130 acres. All pf the ponds end up very weedy come summer,  at which time I can swap back to a canoe. I currently fish from a canoe, where I spend most of my time anchored, only moving a 100' or so at a time, maybe going around the pond once, usually not. I go for roughly 6 hrs at a shot.

So my questions are, is it worth getting the 55lb motor as opposed to a 45 or 50?  The price difference doesn't matter, more run time and weight. I'm also trying to decide between a 50/54Ah and a 100Ah battery. I'm figuring I can add another 50/54 if need be. What do you folks use, size wise.

Coming from an RV background, I had always heard to NOT run down an SLA battery more then 50%, as opposed to the Lithium's that can go down to 85% or so, aking a 100Ah SLA equal to a 50Ah Lithium. Does this sound right?

I use a group 27 deep cycle paired with a Minn Kota Endura Maxx 55lb thrust 36" shaft and can fish all day.

The motor has a battery life indicator for reference.

Oh, I much prefer the motor mounted in the bow " front " and battery in back.20211217_133120.thumb.jpg.ef403462efbfc6bbf9836d13074092a7.jpg

Enjoy.

Edit: forgot to add, for bow mount, you must spin the motor head, 1 minute job by removing 1 screw.

No sir.

I simply wired the plug onto trolling motor wiring and plug into the supplied female connection. 20211218_143812.thumb.jpg.f6b41d63f999942ef5dbbe71d48ba824.jpg

I know this is an older thread, but I've searched though it and also other threads - looking at the 10e NXT, but none to be found.  Local Academy as the standard 10e however.  Is the only difference between the standard and NXT the seats and color, or are there other differences? Thanks

I own a 10e NXT, it there's an opportunity to pick up a bass raider take it man. These boats are extremely hard to find at the moment. The NXT big difference is its a different color and has upgraded seats.

Has anyone raised the rear transom height in order to get better performance out of a gas motor? If you did how did you do it?

I got some mods done on the Raider before the season started. I added some under seat storage that holds 11 3600 size boxes. I also made a set of stake out poles that will swivel down and lock to the side of the boat. I am chomping at the bit to get out on the water.

Has anyone added drain plugs to the rear pontoons,on the lower part of them for easier draining of water, instead of taking everything out to stand the boat on end to drain out of the front drain plugs?

Hi All. I bought the bass raider 10 e along with a endura max tm. Can someone help me determine the actual plug I will need to plug tm into outlet that comes with 10e?  I ordered the Attwood “male” plug but it doesn’t have pins. Thx

Surprised you weren't supplied with the required plug to bow mount your trolling motor.

I can only provide pics if that helps.PXL_20220609_184731569.thumb.jpg.77bd0f1279e6941673521edb04c3fbfa.jpgPXL_20220609_184758996.thumb.jpg.05314257da0d21b8138baf0f46eb72b9.jpg

Thanks. Did it come with boat or trolling motor?
