Don't know why the price difference, but one is listed as the 10E, the second lacks the 'E'. The 10E is pre-wired which means that there is a black/red cable with eyelet connectors sticking out of teh inside of the hull in the rear, and a female trolling motor plug mounted in the bow. So you can hook up your battery in the rear and run the trolling motor in the front with no wires. Only problem is I think you need to buy a male connector for you trolling motor leads from Pelican at a pretty high price point, around 35-40 bucks if memory serves. My 10E also had folding seat backs (which is nice by the way, they don't stick up when transporting).

yea weird,  the one with the extra wiring (10E) is the cheaper one....Thats a good deal...In one of my earlier posts i put a link to the plug you would need for your trolling motor up front - its also at dicks....

Red, id love to see pics of your setup !  you dont have any leaks drilling right into the boat itself?  i thought about it but got nervous about leaks

well wouldnt you just put some marine grade adhesive stuff on the screw for a tight fit? i forget the name of the stuff though.

I will post pics tomorrow if I remember, forgot tonight.  My boat hasn't taken on a drop of water yet in the hull.  I have been meaning to caulk around everything that I screwed on, but haven't got around to it yet.  I only have screwed into the top "rail" section, nothing down in the floor area or anything like that.  I will shoot some pictures tomorrow.

Thanks Sippi. What's the overall length of it? Would you be able to post a couple pics from different angles?(maybe I could figure out how to build one). Are the wood pieces 2X6's? Any other help on materials, sizes would be great. Thanks.

Here are some pics of my rig...The Bass Tub   ;D

Full shot loaded and ready to go to the lake.

Here is the front light, clamps on, battery (D cell) operated.

Rear light, alligator clips to battery.  It also folds down out of the way.

Seat with Riser I welded up at work and aftermarket padded seat.  Life vest strapped under it.

Three rods straped in on one side, three is about the max per side.  Tangles alot though.

Last is the floor with the plywood I added.  Someday this will get carpet and the BigFoot switch for the motor will be screwed in place.  I highly recommend the plywood, makes a world of difference when standing.  All my wires just lay on the floor, if I had a trailer they would be strapped neatly, but I have to remove everything for storage.

There ya go, still looking for any horizontal rod storage ideas.

I was nervous about screwing in the rod straps but im gonna do it now.  even if it leaks a little its better than loosing a rod....I might also hafta put a floor in now!  Cant you run your wires under the floor?

The floor is a must in my opinion, especially if you like to stand.  One problem I forgot to mention about the floor, it makes it alot heavier.  I think I am going to cut mine in half seems I am mostly by myself.  I will just keep the floor piece in front where I am fishing.  I suppose you could run the wires under the floor, but I take my boat off and store it by my house so it would just be hassle each time.  I am considering putting a quick disconnect on all the wiring so I could run it under then just leave it there.  Then plug everything in each time.  Either way, everything works great, I love this little rig.  It is cheap and easy, just the way I like it!   ;D

I have been trying to organize a club/tournament in my area for small boats, just isn't enough interest though.  Too bad, I think it would be fun.

well the middle PVC pipe isn't glued in yet, so it can be adjusted to fit either on the inside of the pontoons or the outside. we still have to adjust it

Another thing I don't think I mentioned was that I use a "Bigfoot" switch for my motor.  Basically it splices into the TM wires and now you can operate your hand control motor with your foot.  This is a big improvement!  You still have to steer with your hand but I just put the motor on "1" and start cruising the shoreline and make small steering adjustments as I go.

Hey all I just registered on here today.  I would like to know how the rudder idea worked out on the boat?? I just go a 10' bass raider and had it out today and I was spinning quite a bit in light wind. Did the rudder make a difference? If so I will be adding one soon.

For a dolly I just took  2"X4" and mounted threaded rod to it and used nuts and washers to hold two wheel barrow wheels onto them then used two large eye bolts at the ends of the board to attach a cargo strap that wraps around the back of the boat. Put all my gear in and just pick it up from the front and wheel it on down to the water. Cheap and easy.  But I might try to make something a little more heavy duty in the future.

Hey, you stole my idea. Mine is exactly the same.    I also added a piece of carpet runner on top of the 2X4 so it's non-slip. It works great.

I made another small improvement to my Bass Raider. I had a scrap piece of 1/4" luan plywood and some indoor/outdoor carpet, so I glued the carpet down and laid it in there. It added very little weight, and it is much more comfy with the flat, carpeted floor(since I'm usually barefoot in the boat).

I have the 10E and love it!  I have the Minn Kota 55 on mine in the transom mount and it does very nicely even in high winds!  Only thing I get bothered with is drift in the wind.  I am going to experiment with a clamp on rudder in the front that stays straight all the time to see if it helps me move around easier when by myself.  I have the battery up front to even out the weight some.

I have also mounted a Humminbird PiranhMax 170 w/ the transducer to the right rear hull.  Screwed in with stainless screws and 5 minute epoxy to help keep the wet stuff out.

I am now looking to get a couple rod holders to use for both crappie fishing and night time cats!

Just haven't found the right ones yet that will secure spinning reels tight.

Has anyone done anything to the bottom of their boat.  I was thinking about a paint on bed liner to keep it from getting all scratched up.  I do my best to never drag it but it still happens sometimes.  Anyway your thoughts on this would be great!!!

Hey WVBassHunter you wouldn't happen to have a pic of where you mounted your transducer would you. I was thinking of mounting mine in between the pontoons to prevent it from getting dinged up. But maybe your placement is a better solution any help would be appreciated
