looking for space saving storage ideas for my 10ft pond prowler. I will be fishing 2 in the boat. sometimes 3 when my wife tags along with my son and I. any suggestions would be great.

One pond boat I've seen around here had three people in it, the middle one sitting on a bucket. You could get a padded bucket and use it for a seat and storage when you have three. Other than that, I always thought the area under the seats was an under-utilized storage space. I bet you could get creative and build a box to attach to the seat frame that could increase storage from just setting things on the floor under the seat.

Milk crate fits perfect under the seat. I glued some of the non slide mat stuff to the bottom of mine with 3m spray adhesive.

Ya my Uncle did this under the seats in his Bass raider.  Im for sure stealing that idea, its wide enough so my Planos will fit in there.  It works great for not taking up prime floor space. I like the bucket idea, the prowler came with a removable storage box that I think im going to try and mount a bleacher seat to. that way it doubles up.

FWIW, take out the emergency paddle and try paddling that thing into even a light breeze. Not fun.

I use a double bladed kayak paddle and it works better. It takes a few strokes to get going but once you build up momentum it glides nice. I pull out my trolling motor and just paddle if I find myself getting stuck in thick weeds or lilies. I also have an 8 foot stick anchor that I use as a push pole sometimes.

My canopy sits on my head and when I'm not fishing it doubles as a hat.

I got a wide assortment of those canopies - actually I like the canopy in the photo cause I have the same boat.

Hello all, finally got my trailer project done for my 10' raider. I purchased a dual seadoo trailer that was not in running order and converted it to use with my raider, "The Fred".  Seadoo trailers are hard to come by and i noticed this one and a single one day while fishing our lake. When we got done I drove around to where the trailer was and asked about purchasing it. After about a month I finally got the owner and since he was only willing to part with the dual trailer, that is what I got. I had been looking for a couple of months up till then. I believe a single would be slightly more comfortable to deal woth but i like the idea of being able to strap stuff to the "sideboards" of the dual trailer.

NTP (New Trailer Project)

Had to replace the hubs and wheels, sanded and painted, new lights and new safety chains. Also reused and painted the existing hardware to use for the new oversized bunks which I made and carpeted myself.

This is after sanding and painting - thanks to a neighbor who painted it for me.

NTP 2 - After prep and painting

This is after I added the bunks and was trying it on for size.

NTP 3 - Bunks added

This is after adding the sideboards which may hold a box eventually to hold "stuff" when we are traveling.

NTP 4 - side boards added

This is my complete trailer.

NTP 5 Complete with wheel wells covered

Another angle.

NTP 6 - Complete with wheel wells covered

Time to load her up!

NTP 7 - Time to load her up

Now I just need to get my rudder made.

How is everyone storing their boats up off the ground?  Any one way better than another?  Thanks for any help.

I am just storing mine upside down on its trailer. I have been covering it with a tarp but they keep getting sun damaged. I store the seats in my shed. I am going to build a little tin top shed to get it covered and then also purchase a new cover that has the elastic around the bottom. the shed should keep it from getting sun damaged and the seats will be left in it to hold the cover up so moisture will not collect in the middle.

I bought the elastic cover, did not last a year.  I have a tarp over it right now.  I am at the Oregon coast and we get 60 to 80 mile an hour winds.  Could be why  elastic  cover did not last. Thanks for the advise though.  By the way nice trailer.

Thanks. We do not have winds like that here, at least not without a hurricane or tornado blowing thru. The sun can be brutal though, which is why I want to put a hardtop up and not just a cover/tarp. The elastic would be nice so i wouldn't have to use giant clips on tarp. Been there, done that.

I've heard some are using 2 of these (link below) bike lifts to store boat in garage. think i'm gonna try it.

http://www.amazon.com/RAD-Cycle-Products-Bike-Hoist/dp/B000PEURIQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424241409&sr=8-1&keywords=garage+bike+lift

Harbor Freight has a bicycle lift for $8.99. I use a 2x6 slightly longer than my 10E with an eye bolt thru the board at each end. I pull my boat up to the garage rafters and hang the seats on the back wall of the garage from two hooks screwed into the studs. Clean dry and out of the way.

the load weight is only for a max of 100lbs. is that strong enough to hold a 10e?

I have a pelican bass raider 8'. I would really like to build a casting deck on the front or something i can store tackle under. Also, my troller motor and battery are in the back and its so unlevel and if i sit in the front, i cant reach the trolling motor. so is there like an extension wire i can buy to extend from the battery to the trolling motor. thanks

What kind of trolling motor do you have? I have a bowmount trolling motor, so I made the deck, bolted the motor to it, and just extended the power cable so it could reach the back where the battery is. Also, if you make the deck, I highly recommend you sink the trolling motor down cause it makes the foot pedal so much more comfortable to use.
