Not laughing at all. you have a good looking rig. laid out just like mine,ha. I almost bought one of the hangkai's but had a little extra cash and been burned a couple times by cheeping out. How long have you had the hangkai? I'm gonna have to get a kayak paddle, have a little 48in and that long paddle would be great especially when pushing off in the shallow stuff. I know what you mean by a bobber, had the boat out Sat. and got into some of the biggest swells yet probably 4 feet. Think i've got whiplash.

Need to get a pic of mine out on the water where she lives. pics in the garage don't do her justice. Been going out three or four times a week and love this little boat and setup.

Up here they are draining down some lakes to fix dams and the water has been crappy all year.

Thanks. I have only had it for a month but the Hangkai has not failed me yet. Starts on the first pull and it sips fuel. 1 tank(1.1 liter) lasts me 2 outings but I do lots of drifting and use the electric when working the mangroves.

This may be how I rig mine. I am hesitant to drill holes.

Ya, I was kinda hesitant too. I looked into multiple ways to attach things too the boat. Screws are notorius for pulling out, and once the threads are gone it's just a hole. People have talked about rivnuts, they look like they dont grip that much area. The Yak gear tri-grip rivots spread out three eighths of an inch and are rated for 200lbs. For good measure I also used some 3m marine grade sealant behind the pad eyes and in the rivot hole. We will see how they hold up. I have seen a bunch of people using these things on yaks. figure if one of pad eyes break I can just cut the rivot, back side will fall into the boat and I can put on a new pad eye and rivot. After a couple I might even stand the boat on end and fish out the rivot parts.

Thought about doing rod holders but im good with what I got, don't want too many holes.

Glad you are having good luck with the hangkia. Gonna be ticked if that thing turns out to be a great motor and I spent way too much!

Some quick pics of how I mounted my TM.

The mechanism has been turned around and I had to mount the foot control backwards but it works really well.

Cool little set up. I'd like to have foot control. It's a pain to control and fish at the same time. That's why I put the wife up front!

What hardware did you use?

I used butterfly wall anchors and silicon sealant to hold the foot control and mounting surface to the boat.  The TM is held with standard bolts.

I'm getting about 4-5 hrs. of moderate to mod. hvy use of a 32 lb trolling motor with my Bass Raider. Is about average?

What size battery.  I can go all day and then some with my 40lb MK and a group 29 Walmart battery.

Same here. The most I've use with hard fishing all day was 20%

Same battery. That's the kind of life I was getting last year. I need to check over the motor and my charger to be sure everything is right. Thanks for the replies.

Good idea with wall anchors. Would have never thought of that one. Doesn't look like that set up takes up too much space either.

It does not take much space.  I think the seat is only 3 or 4 inches from the original farthest rear position.  A smaller TM Battery would fit under it.  May do that as the 27 series makes the front a bit heavy with a second person in there.

Is it possible to put this boat above an equinox with roof racks? One for sale I can get for like 300 bu t its a 2 hr drive and I have no trailer!

As long as it has roof racks you can. Just buy some ratcheting straps and strap it up there. It takes at least 2 people, preferably 3 to get it up/down, though.

I will expand on my above post a little.  I trolled for 6 hours non-stop today spider rigging for crappie fighting a 10-15 mph wind using speeds 3-5 on my MK 45 Edge bow mount on my 16 ft Alumacraft bass boat.  I never even once shut this motor down today while fishing.  This boat has a Walmart group 29 that is now 5 years old and I had no noticeable loss of power when I loaded it on the trailer.  Never cranked the outboard the entire day.  If you are only getting 4-5 hours with a 30lb motor you are most likely in need of a new battery if not right now very soon!!!

wow talk about good luck - when I first set up my little pond boat I bought a 30lb MK TM and it has run pretty well for the 2 months I had it.  I have been thinking that I should have gone with a little more thrust but figured I would just run this one for at least a year or so.

Anyway the other day out it start making a loud noise when on and in the water - almost sounded like an outboard motor.  Of course this was no good for the fishies - scared them.  So I got back to the dock right away - didn't want to have to use my paddle for the first time lol.  So when I got home I took the prop off and the little pin that turns the prop broke in half - not sure how that happen - anyway it was late Sunday night and I wanted to go out today (my days off are Sun, Mon and Tues) so I made a replacement out of an nail - it was the same diameter and I cut it down to fit.  Thought this would work - NOT - no sooner did I push off from the dock it started making the noise again.  So I loaded it all back up - yeah after 30 seconds that sucked.  I took the prop off and found that my make shift pin was bent - so I thought something else is wrong with the motor - keep in mind this is my first boat ever and I'm still learning the ropes.  So I decided to go back to where I bought it (Dick's) and see if they would just credit me the amount I paid for this one 2 months ago and let me get the 55lb.  They did and I got it all set up and set out to the lake once again.  That 55lb really scoots my boat along and quite too - caught 3 nice size Crappie (keepers) and a few Large Mouths.

So it all worked out in the end - got my upgraded motor.  I'll be heading to the lake again tomorrow AM.

I recently bought a used Pelican Bass Raider 10E.  I went through some growing pains but thank you to all who have contributed to this thread.  My set up has the TM on the bow and I believe it's much easier to control + fish with it up front.  I did upgraded from 30lb to 55lb thrust motor mainly because the 30lb had difficulty fighting windy days on the water.  I always anchor on the main lake.  I added two flush mount rod holders in the back and 2 Scotty rod holders on each side.  I added the floor with carpet which makes it so much easier to stand up.  The floor is in 2 sections for easy removal and install.  The rear section has the straps for the battery box.  I have a ram mount for the depth finder/gps up front.  I did experience tracking issues (especially when solo) and rigged a rudder which works like a champ.  I also made my own dolly to take it across the street to a small pond by myself.

Im using two Optima blue tops. Group 29 i think. Have got around 15 hours, half the battery. Never touched the second one. GPS said i traveled 9 miles one way. Never felt any loss of power. Using a 45LB thrust Minn Kota Traxxis, variable speed. This was over a weekend camping trip.

My rudder I built on page 59 worked out really well.  I had zero problems with the boat drifting sideways or spinning.  It was the most enjoyable day I've had since I got my little boat. The boat tracked really straight even here in Oklahoma with a 20mph wind that day.   My rudder design freely swings up and down, it stayed down in the water and would raise up over some vegetation that I got into in the shallows.
