The mount for the Humminbird clamps almost anywhere along the hull, port side or starboard.

Since I prefer using the trolling motor at the stern it helps to mount the heavy battery at the bow. I can mount it on the bow end floor but it saves more space and levels the boat even better when I mount it up over the bow.

I still wanted a way to use the trolling motor at the bow on occasion so I installed a plug on the battery, like the plug used for the trolling motor. Now I can just plug the battery in at either the bow or stern and move the motor to the opposite end.

So far, this seems to make things pretty handy and saves me some floor space as well.

Made a few more mods to my little boat - I drilled a small hole and put a rubber grommet in it - then took one of the pole holders that you stick into the ground if fishing from the bank - I had a few of these when I did that - so decided to see if I could put them to good use - seems to work ok a little loose but I might try to seal them with some marine goop.

Also picked up a Humminbird 110 Fishin Buddy Fish Finder - mounted to the bow next to the TM - only place that it would grip nice and tight cause of the wood under the plastic located in the bow.  I'll see how it works out.  If anyone has a better idea let me know - it just clamps on so moving it around will not be a problem.

Installed a pole storage holder today - it runs just above the molded in shelf and trays - I got it at Bass Pro for $12.99 - just used a few short screws into the plastic - I'm trying to make to so I don't have so much to transfer from my truck to the boat when I'm loading and unloading it at the dock.

Also got another idea on making it easier to launch and load it - when I was out at the pond today I saw guy with one of these boats back his truck tailgate right up to the water and then slide it out.  I wasn't doing that, I was using my ramps - think this might be an easier option so I'll give it a try.  Of course the battery will be out - too heavy to lift boat with it in there - one of these days I'll get a trailer - just right now I have more money then I wanted to invest in it but I'm loving this little pond hopper.

I think what you've done to your boat looks great. With all this deck space you are saving, have you considered finding a way to install a foot controlled trolling motor? That is my main complaint with my bass raider is that i have trouble driving while i fish (hand controlled TM). Either way, your boat looks great.

Newbie here. I've had my Bass Raider for about 3 weeks now and love it. I bought it used with trolling motor 4.5 tiller. Of course I take the outboard off when traveling.  I bought the trailer this week took the old rotted plywood off and added the treated 2x. in the process of adding a 5' tongue extension, and some other goodies. I've had this on large and small lakes and about 5 miles up the Big Sandy River. Love it.

Hey there brand new and am joining from the lovely Fort Hood, TX! I currently have the 10e with a minn Kota 30 bow mounted , humminbird 153, and am in the process of installing carpeting on 1/4" plywood and making two casting decks, pedestal seating and a live well. I have seen a lot of excellent ideas here and hope to continue to see more. I will be getting some pictures up as soon as possible, tomorrow!!!

I have tried to resize my pic of my boat, was successful in doing so. Even at the smallest size there still to big! Any suggestions?

Thanks Brian - yeah my next plan is to install a floor with indoor/outdoor carpet then I'll put in a bigfoot switch - right now I don't have any place to anchor it down other then mounting it to the plastic floor.

Well I got the floor as well as the casting decks in, both ready for carpet. The decks sit on 1/2" PVC in the old seating slots, I'm going to brace the underside of the decks in the center where I will be adding pedestal seating for 360 degrees of bass lip ripping front and back, BOOM! I'm also going to pull out the existing wire, replace it with better wiring, and relocate it in the center of the boat where I will house 2, 12 volt batteries for the tm, livewell, GPS, and fish finder. Currently in the market for a used lightweight 3.5 hp engine under 350$ with shipping let me know what y'all have. I'm really hoping to have this done by this weekend as I would love to take her to Lake Fork and set a new state record with her!!!! Let me know what y'all think.

Day one!

Looking good. Would you care to share the measurements on the floor? Especially the end angles or cut backs.

@ John, what I did was split the flooring into 4 pieces for easy in and out in case of emergencies. It's 1/4" plywood. The total length of wood used was 8'8", and a width of 20 1/2". I then cut the two end pieces into 13" sections and then angled it off at a 45 both ways. The decks are 3/4" sanded pine 4x4 sheet cut into 2x4 then again cut into the sizes needed. 2'x2'3.5". Then they are screwed into 1/2 PVC pipes 2' in length. All in all wood, carpet, glue, staples and pedestal stands in about 90-100$ in right now. Hope this helps any more ? Feel free to fire em my way!

Nice looking boat Tim - waiting to see the finished product - probably need to start planning for my floor - seems the way to go.

anyone know if Lowe's or Home Depot will cut a piece of plywood to the measurements I need for my floor - i don't have a work bench at home nor a circular saw to cut it - just a jigsaw.

I know Lowe's will and pretty sure that Home Depot will to.

I got the major cuts all done at Lowes but did the rest myself, quite enjoyable at that!!
