airborne_angler Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Been looking for a Stern(transom)Light for my jon boat. Walmart has one for $26.As with anything, you want to shop around to get the best price. So I took a trip out of town yesterday and while I was there I went to a Sportsmans warehouse. They have the light,(its crazy long) for $18. Or I could get the light and the socket(which I already have installed) for $26. I bit the bullet and bought the one for $18. Today I was looking at the clearance section at WalMart, and staring me right in the face is a stern(transom) light (a nice short unit) for $4.50. I swear I have looked in the clearance section at least once a week for a month, and never saw these lights. Guess thats the way it goes sometimes huh... Quote
Al Wolbach Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 You may find that the long one will prevent a lot of glare at night. The higher and further behind the driver is normally better. May have been a blessing............Al Quote
