rowyourboat Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 are there any things you can do to improve your holeshot without breaking the bank??? thanks Quote
Carrington Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 no, the cheapest way is to either lose alot of weight in the boat, or the next cheapest way is to get a whale tale which will drop your top end speed. The best way though is to get a stainless steel prop that is meant for hole shot. for this you need to talk to an expert and he can recommend the best prop for your boat and engine. Quote

BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted March 15, 2011 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted March 15, 2011 I have this one on my 225 http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=23065&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=11151&storeNum=10106&subdeptNum=10451&classNum=10453 No drop in top end and if properly trimmed I get NO nose rise on take off. A 225 with this launches my 201 pro to plane in less than 3 ft of water. On a side note it improves the handling in rough water. Trim down at 3/4 throttle and the nose stays down and just plows thru the 2ft rollers on Kissimmee. FD Quote

I've seen them advertised as eliminating chine walking. How do they do that if they're out of the water? Quote

Go to there site and watch the videos. Overtons has them and if for some reason they do not fit return them to the nearest Gander mountain to save shipping. Quote
